Note: Something technical happened to my original assignment, so if you've commented or signed the linky, please leave another comment, so I can enter you in the drawing. Also, if you linked to the first post, before 10:30 am then you'll need to change the post number on your blog. Sorry folks, I kept getting a bunch of jibberish on the post and when I went fix it, everything was gone...Praise God I had saved a copy of my post.
Shop Til You Drop!
I'm copying this assignment from Tamara's listing over a year ago...it was so much fun to do this then and I thought it would be fun to do it again.
This assignment I hope proves to fun and exciting! This week you are given $1000 PRETEND online spending money! The rules are simple for this assignment. Using ANY online store…write out a shopping list of what you would buy! You can even post pictures of the items you're buying, if you want, it's not required. These things should be things for YOURself ONLY!
List the name of the website with a link and include product item # and cost…you must use all your $1000 without going over! As a bonus every commentator will have their name put in a basket and I will draw three names of people who have signed the Linky and commented to receive a special prize in the mail from me! Have fun and my assignment is below as well.
I love electronics, so these are the only things I could think of that I might actually spend $1000 on:
First I would have to give my 10% Tithe out of the $1000 - $100.00
Walmart:
Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 - $79.82
SKU: 8519203
Garden Ridge:
7pc luxury comforter or 7pc quilt set for only - $39.99.
Lowes:
Rachael Rays 365 Days of No Repeats cookbook - $17.96
Item # 21835
Power Shot Staple Gun with Wire Connect Attachment - $19.96
T 50 Staples for staple gun - 1 box - $10.77
Total - $995.48
That was HARD!!! If any of you knew me you'd know that I'm being 100% honest, because I despise shopping, unless it's for someone else! Add your favorite scripture for this assignment. Have fun with it.
My verse: something I always remind myself and my family is this verse.
Proverbs 28: 27 - He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
was hard for me. I think I stuck to the rules, but maybe not. Like you, I'm not much one for shopping for myself specifically, but it sure would be great to have $1000 to spend on what I want. Thanks for the challenge.
I signed in again. I am having issues with getting to your blog now. I go to the side bar of mine to my friends and click on nancysnook and it takes me to something about writing. It had Nancy on it, so it may be yours too.

I've got my assignment up. This was alot of fun. I forget the item #'s though. I don't know if all of the items I choose had a SKU number. Thanks for hosting this, and I enjoyed the shopping spree.
This was a fun, yet challenging assignment! I don't usually get the chance to just buy things for myself - most of my money goes on things for my son - so this made a nice change.
Thanks Nancy!

Late...as usual. It was hard to think of "me", but once I got going, I had a lot of fun with it. I tried to put a lot of thought into listing things that describe my personality and some of my "likes". Thanks, Nancy! Now, off to visit as many friends as I can.
I am reposting- Nancy, that assignment was harder than I thought it would be. At first I knew exactly what I would buy, but then it hit me, that what I had on my mind was always for someone else! Well, once I thought about it, I did come up with a few things.
I lost track of how many times I worked on this but got interrupted before spending all my dough! LOL And it was harder than I thought, but fun. Thanks!
I really did shop 'til I dropped! I just finished this last assignment and whew am I ready for bed now. Too bad the packages really won't be coming to my door. *teehee*
I made a little change with my Friends List. It's on the left side and to open it just click on the word "Friends" and it pops out! Neat, huh! To close it click on it again! Thank you

Seven Steps to Raising Godly Children
Principle - Impart God's word on your children and live in a way that you are their greatest example of what a Christ-abiding parent should be.
Pattern - Teach your children a pattern of prayer; when to pray, how to pray, and why prayer is important.
Persistence - Don't ever give up...teach your children to always have faith and not to give up when things get hard.
Participation - Our children crave our attention! The way our children see us is the way they'll see God in thier lives.
Praise - Encourage children, praise them when they do something right and help them when they have a hard time.
Prayer - Teach your children to pray and then to TRUST God for the outcome.
Priority - Make God the Head and Heart of your home and let them live with God's desire coming first in your lives.
