Mar. 3, 2008 - Emotional Tonight...

Posted in Family

I had an emotional breakdown on the way home from being out of town tonight...when I realized that I was getting close to home and my daughter wasn't with us or going to be with us, it hit me like a ton of bricks...Did anyone hear about the man who shot and killed his wife in Jackson KY on Friday?  Well, my sister and my daughter were minutes from going into that restaurant to get some lunch, but under God's command they got turned around and ended up getting lost in Morehead KY...they missed the exit off of I-64 east and drove 130 miles in circles.  My sister told me yesterday about them getting turned around and if they hadn't they would have been at that Hardee's when the man shot his wife.  She was an employee there and they were going through a bitter divorce, he didn't hurt anyone else, just walked in and shot her.  I find myself thanking God about every 3 minutes for protecting my daughter and my sister from that...that's a little too much harshness from reality...and then I imagine the "what ifs" with the whole situation.  I'm still sick at my stomach over how close they were to being witnesses to it all.  I'm sure I'll find comfort in it over the next few days, but right now it's all a bit overwhelming.

PTL for protecting your dd and sis!
It's difficult when something hits that close to home, but what a blessing to know GOD and HIS angels were there protecting your dd and sis and they listened to HIS still, small voice!
Blessings!

Oh Honey, (((BIG HUG))) God is so good to keep his hands on your little one and your sister. (I know she is not "little" but she is still your little one.) Praying you will get peace over all this.

Praising God with you over His protection of your family.

It's so sad to hear of such desperate people at their lowest moments.

Makes me so VERY thankful for my family!

this is jenny love from homeschoolblogger.com/JennysCozyCorner.

Thank you for offering to do my template. I like baby blue, baby pink, lavender-pretty much any pastel color and i love angels and music. My favorite verse is Proverbs 17:22 because it reminds me that always have a reason to smile. I also love the disney princesses because I like to think of myself as a princess because I am a child of the king and we are all princess if we are saved. you can pretty much have free reign on that. thank you very much and thank you for coming to my blog. Thank you and God bless

I made a little change with my Friends List. It's on the left side and to open it just click on the word "Friends" and it pops out! Neat, huh! To close it click on it again! Thank you

Seven Steps to Raising Godly Children

Principle - Impart God's word on your children and live in a way that you are their greatest example of what a Christ-abiding parent should be.

Pattern - Teach your children a pattern of prayer; when to pray, how to pray, and why prayer is important.

Persistence - Don't ever give up...teach your children to always have faith and not to give up when things get hard.

Participation - Our children crave our attention! The way our children see us is the way they'll see God in thier lives.

Praise - Encourage children, praise them when they do something right and help them when they have a hard time.

Prayer - Teach your children to pray and then to TRUST God for the outcome.

Priority - Make God the Head and Heart of your home and let them live with God's desire coming first in your lives.
