I'm posting this early because I have a full night ahead of me. This will give a little more time for everyone to get done. I haven't chosen the winners for last weeks giveaway, so if you still want to participate in that you have until Wednesday to do so.
I had several ideas for this week that I started to use, but decided against them because of the course of my life over the past few days. I know several people who have lost loved ones and have had family members that are overseas fighting for our country. I have a dear friend who thought she was going to be deployed to somewhere in the United States for 6 months and have to be away from her family. At the last minute she got a call telling her she wasn't going anywhere. Praise God!!!
I thought it would be nice this week if we all took a field trip to the Wall of Prayer. Our radio picks up three (3) Christian stations very well but we listen to KLove 89.9 just because we like them the best. KLove has a Wall of Prayer for men and women in the service not only abroad but also here in the United States. What I want everyone to do is to go to this Wall of Prayer and either list someone you know to pray for or just pledge to pray for anyone or any family...especially for WIVES and FAMILY MEMBERS of service people. You can also just click on the Add a Note on the left side of the page. WARNING: BEFORE YOU SUBMIT (or you will lose your prayer in all the other [48 so far] pages) copy your member or your open prayer on your blog so we all can do a circle of prayer for these people and their families. Please don't feel that you have to reveal names if you are uncomfortable doing that. I understand completely if you do not wish to. Just imagine the wonderful circle of prayer that we all can be part of. Leave your favorite verse of scripture or favorite chapter from the Bible too, please. Sign linky and leave your comments so we can all visit with you.

Continued prayer that she will be able to stay home with her family and that if the time comes that she does then God will continue to watch over her family and take care of her in the whole process.
My verse for this week: Isaiah 40:11 - He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
I'm glad that she was able to stay with her family. I didn't fill in the information at the wall as I'm not comfortable with that, but I have posted the information on the website minus names. :-)
Good assingment! I didn't post my requests on the wall, but I did list some servicemen and their families that we pray for on my blog entry. Praying for your friend, that she'll be able to stay with her family!
for peace, for godly leadership to lead our military, and for righteousness to be restored. I pray for those serving in our military and for the innocent and civilians who are affected daily by war. I pray that Americans would conduct themselves with dignity and with respect for life. I show disdain for any abuse of authority, ESPECIALLY to the weak. Lord help us!!!!
What a great assignment! My prayer is for a British soldier's family - he was killed about 5 years ago, yet they still are not over the shock of his untimely passing.
Thanks for sharing your prayer - I'm glad your friend did not have to leave home!
Hi Nancy :)
It is very nice to meet you, and thanks for stopping by my blog.
A VBAC is a vag**inal birth after c-section. I am hoping to deliver naturally this time.
We have a name picked out, I had prayed about a name before I knew the gender of the baby, and I sat down with my Bible and a beautiful name appeared. And a few nights later I prayed again about a middle name, and that night about 3am I heard a voice clearly saying a name. It was very eerie, lol. But it was just the answer I had asked God for. We are keeping them a secret till the baby comes in July. We have already told all our family that its a girl, so we are keeping the name as a surprise for them :)
Thank you for doing this! With a husband in the military during some rough times back in the 80's I truly have a heart to pray for our military. Our ds is going in to the service when he grows up (7 more years) and I'm already praying for that!
Be blessed!
Terri Sue
I made a little change with my Friends List. It's on the left side and to open it just click on the word "Friends" and it pops out! Neat, huh! To close it click on it again! Thank you

Seven Steps to Raising Godly Children
Principle - Impart God's word on your children and live in a way that you are their greatest example of what a Christ-abiding parent should be.
Pattern - Teach your children a pattern of prayer; when to pray, how to pray, and why prayer is important.
Persistence - Don't ever give up...teach your children to always have faith and not to give up when things get hard.
Participation - Our children crave our attention! The way our children see us is the way they'll see God in thier lives.
Praise - Encourage children, praise them when they do something right and help them when they have a hard time.
Prayer - Teach your children to pray and then to TRUST God for the outcome.
Priority - Make God the Head and Heart of your home and let them live with God's desire coming first in your lives.
