Thank you Heidi for the banner you helped me with!!!!
There are lots of windows in our lives, i.e., window of our soul, closed windows and open windows that God has for our lives, there's what some people call their, "window of opportunity", and there's "eyes are the window to our soul". The assignment is to take a picture, if you're able, find a graphic if you can, and write about your favorite window in your home or the one you look out of when you have those 'daydreaming' moments. Here's mine:
I have two favorite windows in my home the first one is my kitchen window because my husband designed our kitchen just so I could see out the window when I'm cooking or while we are doing dishes...
My other favorite window is in my bedroom because I can see the lake across the road on my neighbor's property during the fall, winter, and much of the spring months. I also love this window ESPECIALLY because during a full moon it shines right into that window and I can fall asleep gazing at it.
My favorite verse for this assignment: Psalm 104: 12-14
12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.
13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth.
What a time! I still have to add pics, but my image host is causing my internet to have fits. I will add them tomorrow. I love the look through your windows!
I've been out of the loop all week. What a beautiful verse and wonderful assignment. I'll try to get mine up tomorrow.
Lord bless you, Leinani

Just had the time to get this post done before going away for a few days! Made me think about everything we get to see through our windows - trees, children playing, traffic passing by, birds, neighbours walking their dogs....a busy world outside our equally busy home!

Thank you for the compliment, Nancy! I have some close-up pics of my curtains here (you can click them for larger images):

I do have a wonderful mother-in-"love" (I like that!).
And, I have to admit that I showed you only the part of my yard that is pretty in the summer, although we've been working on the rest of it! I do love to look out at my garden when it is growing, though.
Hi Nancy,
What a nice kitchen window! You should see the dead plant I have sitting in mine... I'll have to just throw it out, as it doesn't seem to be reviving. I've given it a long enough chance, to be sure! Seeing your beautiful flowers on your sill has inspired me.
Don't you just love those country views?

I made a little change with my Friends List. It's on the left side and to open it just click on the word "Friends" and it pops out! Neat, huh! To close it click on it again! Thank you

Seven Steps to Raising Godly Children
Principle - Impart God's word on your children and live in a way that you are their greatest example of what a Christ-abiding parent should be.
Pattern - Teach your children a pattern of prayer; when to pray, how to pray, and why prayer is important.
Persistence - Don't ever give up...teach your children to always have faith and not to give up when things get hard.
Participation - Our children crave our attention! The way our children see us is the way they'll see God in thier lives.
Praise - Encourage children, praise them when they do something right and help them when they have a hard time.
Prayer - Teach your children to pray and then to TRUST God for the outcome.
Priority - Make God the Head and Heart of your home and let them live with God's desire coming first in your lives.
