Heidi is having a great contest for a $50 gift certificate for Tiny Prints Holiday Cards. I've entered and hope to win. If you go to Heidi's you might want to enter and take a chance to win also. Go check it out!
In the Nook...Before I go into the details of the contest I'd like to say Thank you to all who prayed for us during my daughters illness. She is doing better, not totally, but well on the way. We found out that two of the medicines she was already on for allergies were interacting with the newest one. She off all meds now, at least for the time being!
I have gone through some family issues recently and also went for a time without a computer. I could not have made it without friends praying and being there to help me hang on. I truly realized how blessed I am so I decided to have a friendship giveaway.
Whether Mom or Dad is helping with the potty training, the whole family will have fun due to the four cool sports designs that Munchkin offers. The football, basketball, soccer and baseball graphics will make any little slugger feel like a potty training pro.
The All Star Potty Seat is made for children ages 12 months and up and features adjustable handles and a soft, contoured seat that fits securely on most standard toilet seats. The no-gap design keeps the floor and toilet seat clean and also prevents germ build-up.
If the family is heading to a friends’ place to watch the games or staying at home, the compact design allows you to take the potty seat anywhere and enables easy storage.
I would love to win the football seat for my grandson!!!

Do you have the winter blues? Are you tired of winter and feel blah? I thought we all needed something to make us laugh. The Bible also says that laughter doeth good like a medicine. I KNOW I have read stories on these blogs about sickness lately. ?flu? We just all need a good dose of the funnies. So, without further ado, I'm having my first ever blogging contest. Go to Christy's blog and check it out! It sounds like a ton of fun to me, so we'll be participating only over the weekend.
Over the last two years several people have suggested we have a graphic or two for the carnival. I haven’t followed up on these suggestions. I’m not a very artsy person, so I didn’t feel confident in my ability to generate a cool graphic for the carnival.
For the first stage people can generate and submit icons for the carnival. They can post the icon on their blog and use Mister Linky to generate a link back. Or they can leave a comment telling us how to get the icon. We want to make sure people have enough time to be creative, so the first stage will last until the 28th of January, 2008. I am hoping for a couple dozen entries for each category.
For the second stage we’ll have a vote on which images people like. Janine and I will select the four to seven graphics we like best in each category, and then everyone can vote.
The rules for the contest are:
1) The graphics have to be available for others to use. The only options I can think of are a) you created the graphic or b) the graphic is public domain.
2) There is a limit of two images per category, per person.
Are there any other rules we need?
Put on your thinking caps and see what kind of cool graphics you can come up with!
With all that aside I decided to try my hand at this since I dearly love making graphics, so here is the first of my entries, the Small category, the others will come later as I get them made...
Now for the medium using the same background colors, because I think they look carnival-ish!
On December 9th, I will have been officially blogging for 3 full years! Wow, it’s a bit embarrassing in a way to think that I’ve been able to chat virtually on a computer screen almost every day for 3 years, but I have been blessed by so many friends in return.
I’ve often referred to all my readers as my blogger “Angel” Friends and so I’m going to give away something special to commemorate my ‘Blogoversary’!
A very special original Build-A-Bear named “Angel Heart Bear” and stuffed with love by me, Training Hearts!!!
She comes complete with a Birth Certificate dated the same as my “blogoversary” date of December 9th!
This will be done by random drawing on December 9th, 2007 at 9:02pm EST (the same hour/minute 3 years ago that I posted my first entry!) Here's what all you have to do to be entered into the contest.
How to enter:
#1 Post the Invitation graphic above and link to my blog and invite your friends!
#2 Sign Mr. Linky below with the LINK TO YOUR POST
#3 Please promise to pray for families who have lost babies/children.
"One last thing that I want to share ………. While I was getting this precious bear made, I was sharing my story of losing our baby. The lady shared back with me that Build-A-Bear will take special treasures and stuff them inside a bear as a memorial to a lost baby or child. ::cry:: ::cry:: If you know someone that has lost a baby/child this may be something special to pass on. This lady even explained to me that she has placed an urn with ashes of a sweet stillborn baby.
Whew…that is hard to write but it really touched my heart." Tamara
I promise that my family and I will pray for these families who have lost babies and children!
I made a little change with my Friends List. It's on the left side and to open it just click on the word "Friends" and it pops out! Neat, huh! To close it click on it again! Thank you

Seven Steps to Raising Godly Children
Principle - Impart God's word on your children and live in a way that you are their greatest example of what a Christ-abiding parent should be.
Pattern - Teach your children a pattern of prayer; when to pray, how to pray, and why prayer is important.
Persistence - Don't ever give up...teach your children to always have faith and not to give up when things get hard.
Participation - Our children crave our attention! The way our children see us is the way they'll see God in thier lives.
Praise - Encourage children, praise them when they do something right and help them when they have a hard time.
Prayer - Teach your children to pray and then to TRUST God for the outcome.
Priority - Make God the Head and Heart of your home and let them live with God's desire coming first in your lives.
