    ~Meet Taylor~

    Merry Late Christmas!

    Written in Happenings

Hey ya'll, I hope every one of you had a great Christmas! I know I did! Some of my favorite things I got were a Bonanza DVD, an Airsoft pistol, a really nice bag, and all of the books I got, which include:

1: Every last Jane Austen book in existance, (I think) ;-)

2: David Copperfeild and Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

3: The Felling of the Sons and Mystic Fire by....I don't know, but they are Bonanza fan fiction. Fan fiction is something new to me, but I finished the first book in only two days, so I apparentally like it, because its a pretty big book. The only thing I didn't like is the unnecessary mild language they added, cause it wouldn't be said on the show, but I can look past it. I really enjoyed reading it.

Well, my regular template is back on, and if you look on the right sidebar, I added and took off some icons, check them out.

Well, I have some VERY big news about myself, I found late Christmas day, that I was going to have a job. A real job. Yup, Taylor's growing up. Every Saturday for four hours I'll be helping out at the pharmacy that my grandpa works at. I'm nervous, excited, and confused. I'm just going to keep praying that God will prepare me for January, when I start the job along with Driver's ED. So apparentally January is the month of getting older. Yiksers. I'd really appreciate prayer.

I 'spose that's all I have to say, I hope ya'll had a very Merry Christmas, and you'll have a wonderful end of the year, it's almost a new decade!

    God Bless You,

     Taylor

    Movie Review: Little Dorrit

    Written in Fun Things

Here is a movie review on the 2008 version of Little Dorrit, based on the Charles Dickens novel.

    The Characters

    Amy Dorrit

    Arthur Clennam

    William Dorrit

    Mrs. Clennam

    Rigaud/Blandois

    Mr. Meagles

    Mrs. Meagles

    Pet Meagles

    John Chivery

    Mr. Chivery

    Fanny Dorrit

    Edward "Tip" Dorrit

    Fredrick Dorrit

    \

    Flora Finchling

    Mr. Merdle

    Mrs. Merdle

    Edmund Sparkler

    Mr. Pancks

    Tattycoram

    Affery Flintwinch

    Jeremiah Flintwinch

    Henry Gowan

    Miss Wade

    Mrs. General

    Maggy

    What's it About?

This movie is about a young woman named Amy Dorrit, who was born in the Marshalsea Prison for debt. She meets a man named Arthur Clennam, who's mother is keeping a secret that involves both Arthur and Amy.

    Positive

~Because it is a Dickens novel, the characters and plots are so complex and intertwined. It keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

    Negative

~There is one part in Episode 2 that absolutely should be skipped, a (what we call it in our famliy) "boy-girl" part.

~There are a few deaths that are rather gruesome that I would suggest that parents look at if you have children 12 and younger or ones that are sensitive to that sort of thing.

    ~Very very very mild language

I very highly suggest this movie, it is so suspenceful and exciting, you won't want to look away!

    God Bless You,

     Taylor

One More Week Until CHRISTmas Day!

Hi hi hi! I hope ya'll are having a simply wonderfultasticifying December. It is so strange to think that Christmas is only a week away! Can ya'll keep a secret? *whispers* I haven't finished all of my Christmas shopping. I still need to get my mom's and uncle's, but at least I KNOW what I'm going to get them.

My sisters and I opened our presents to each other. I got Emma Super Llama (inside joke, but it was a llama stuffed animal that I put a cape on), and I got Hailey a watch (but she knew I was getting it for her, she told me to get it =P) Emma got me the movie Up. I love that movie, it's so sweet. Hailey is making our presents, and she isn't done yet, she's making us each an apron. =)

It snowed a little outside today! =D I'm excited, I really hope it will snow more later on.

Here, I found a little trailer type thingy for Little Dorrit. It doesn't give you much idea of what it's about, but I couldn't find any other one. *swoons when she sees Arthur* ;-) Silly girl moment, sorry.

Oh, I just thought of something to say. Surprise surprise, I'm taking Driver's ED in January. *scary music* I've been putting it off, but mom asked me if I would prefer to do it in January or April, and I don't know what came into me, but I said January.

I was just thinking, when Christmas is over, I don't really want to go back to my hobbit hole template. I really like it, I'm just done with it now. Any ideas as to what kind of template I should get next?

    God Bless You,

     Taylor

    Oh Arthur! =)

    Written in Happenings

Hello fellow bloggers! I hope ya'll are enjoying this December!

Okay, I have finally told my friends the surprise I've been talking about, so I can finally tell everybody! The surprise is.....I'm going to play the cello! =D I'm really excited, I can't wait to start, my parents are hoping to start my lessons soon after Christmas.

I just finished watching "Little Dorrit", a movie based on the Charles Dickens novel. It was SO good, it is right up there with Bleak House, and ya'll know how much I like that. ;-) I LOVE Arthur, he has found a place on My List! *diez* See...

    My List in Order

    #1. Adam Cartwright from Bonanza

#2. Arthur Clennem from Little Dorrit

    #3. Alex Madison from Stonewater

#4. Allan Woodcourt from Bleak House

#5. Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings

#6. Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice

#7. Faramir from Lord of the Rings

#8. Colonel Brandon from Sense and Sensibility

There you have it. Isn't it funny that the first four on that list start with an A? ...anyway...it was a really good movie, I highly suggest it, though there is one part that we needed to skip. =/ Only one.

Now I'm determined to read it, like I was when I finished watching Bleak House. Wish me luck! Okay, that is really all I have to say.

    God Bless You,

     Taylor

Mom has been cooking. And cooking. And cooking. Almost all day yesterday and until almost lunch today. My sisters and I have helped some too. It's because my Grandma always has a Christmas party at her house, and mom cooks for a lot of it. There's only one problem with that. Almost every time she finishes something, I have a sample...sometimes two or three. And alot of the things she makes have sugar in them. So...I'm probably not the healthest right now, I haven't had much real food today. *shrug*

I still can't tell you the surprise yet, because I still haven't told my friends, but I will Monday, and I can say after then.

I just got finished watching "It's A Wonderful Life". With out a doubt it is the best Christmas movie ever.

Okay, being inspired by the post that Hailey made, I feel rather obligated to say something. It doesn't really have to do with Christmas, but about God in our culture.

My sisters and I love to watch old TV shows, such as The Andy Griffith Show, Bonanza, Little House on the Prarie, etc, and we really enjoy hearing when they mention something like praying, going to church, or anything relating to God in a humble and sincere manner. It stands out so much to us because in almost every modern show (I will not say every one, I know there are some out there), it never mentions God, and if it does, it makes fun of Him and Christianity, or uses His name in vain. Why is that? It is because it is biased? Well, shows that don't talk about God are biased, aren't they? What happened? It went from Mayberry being practically shut down on Sunday, since it is the Lord's day, to making Sunday just a time to hang out. Why does our modern culture shun God so much? For Pete's sake, Jesus died for us so that we could have a chance at true life, and we thank him by neglecting him? Not just on television, in everyday lives. Well, that's not going to be me. I'm going to do my best at living my life for Him, as though He were right next to me, watching my every step, hearing my every word, because He is, I just can't physically see Him. And if I ever stumble, I know He is standing there to pick me back up again, if I will let Him, and He'll do the same for you. Don't let our modern culture influence you, stand firm in what you believe.

    God Bless You,

     Taylor

Hello my friends! We've been wrapping gifts lately, and I only need to get Mom and Dads and my uncles gift now! It's only 16 days until Christmas! *confetti*

Now, I have a really big surprise, but I will not tell anyone until I can tell my best friends, which should be around Monday. The only people that know are my parents and sisters. I will give ya'll one hint, and then you'll just have to wait.

'tis done. The recital went very well, though I made more mistakes than I usually do, but that's to be expected, since I rarely ever perform for a crowd, but I still think it was good. My friends and I had a fun time afterwards. Hailey's recital is tomorrow.

In other news, many many packages are being delivered to our house. I know that they are Christmas presents, and it isn't very nice to see the boxes and not know what's in them. I think it was easier years ago when I thought that Santa brought them, and I didn't know that they were actually IN our house. =/ Just be patient Taylor, only 20 days left. Be patient. ;-)

Here's a video before I leave. *smile* This one makes me laugh so much. I don't know about ya'll, but I'm glad they used the instumental instead of the lyrical theme. =)

    Thanks

    Written in Celebrate!

    Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!

There are so many things that God has blessed me with this past year, including the change He has made in me. I am most certainly a changed girl, and I thank God for it. There is such a great list of things for me to be thankful for, God, Jesus, my family, friends, my house, the list goes on an on. There are six friends in particular I would like to say thank you to on here.

Jessica, Martha, Tallulah, and Helen, the days I spend with ya'll are some of the best days I can remember! I have such a wonderful time when I'm with you, and I am so so so happy to have true friends like you. Actually, ya'll are more sisters to me than friends. =) Thanks for being there for me whenever I needed you. I have just got a kick out off all the inside jokes we have. I'm glad that we all like to do the same types of things, like playing Boat, watching movies, teasing High School Musical, singing to the top of our lungs together until our moms can't stand it, pretending to be the Wolavers, and so much more!

My Pippin, what a wonderful, encouraging, loving friend you have been to me ever since I've met you! I don't know what it's like to have a big sister, but you and Jessica have been the best big "sisters" I could ask for. You've helped me strengthen my faith so much, even when something bad has happened to you. I can only hope that I have been as good of a little sister to you as you've been a big one to me.

LLT, I've never had a Long Lost Twin before in my whole life until about a year ago. It's been a blessing to know you. Because we are so alike, I can relate to things that have gone with you that are going on with me. You have built me up so much, I can't find the words to say how much you have done for me. Thanks for being there, even when I'm acting rather out of character. =)

    God Bless You,

     Taylor

    "Shake me up, Judy!"

There is a LOT of things going on lately.

First off, on Tuesday, we visited some friends who live two hours away, whom we haven't seen in 2 whole years! The mom has had 8 children in total, though one of them went to be with God just a few hours after he was born. I had a very good time with them, we played all sorts of games, and had a great time. Their ages go like this... 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, (the one who died would be 2), and 6 months. It was really great to see them again.

For school, I had to watch a DVD about Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. It was so so wonderfully done, I enjoyed it alot. But it was so very sad when Prince Albert died, I cried!

I've finished reading Les Miserables. I really liked it, though some of  the ideas about reality are wrong in it, it was a very good, well-written book. And Marius is so cool. ;-)

Emma had her flute recital thingy, she did a really really great job! *applauds*

Christmas music is playing on the radio now!!! =D

I have FINALLY started writing a story. *gasp*

Here is a tag I took from missirocks...

List twelve fictional characters that you love from any books, movies, etc., and then answer the following questions.

    1. Adam Cartwright (from Bonanza)

    2. Cosette (from Les Miserables)

    3. Joe Cartwright (from Bonanza)

    4. Legolas (from Lord of the Rings)

    5. Lucy Ricardo (from I Love Lucy)

    6. Puddleglum (from The Silver Chair)

    7. Ada Clare (from Bleak House)

    8. Mr. Jarndyce (from Bleak House)

    9. Elwood P. Dowd (from Harvey)

    10. Marius Pontmercy (from Les Misrables)

    11. Sir Henry Baskerville (from The Hound of the Baskervilles)

    12. Jane Bennet (from Pride and Prejudice)

    *******************************************
    1. Who would make a better college prof, 6(Puddleglum) or 11(Sir Henry)? Probably Sir Henry.

    2. 12 (Jane) sends 8 (Mr. Jarndyce) out on a mission. What is it? Does it succeed? Oh, my. I don't think Jane would send anyone out on a mission.

    3. What is or would be 9's (Elwood) favorite book? Maybe Sense and Sensibility

    4. For some reason, 5 (Lucy) is looking for a roommate. Should (s)he share a studio apartment with 9 (Elwood) or 10 (Marius)? Well, she's a girl, so she shouldn't have a roomate who's a man, but I suppose Elwood.

    5. 2(Cosette), 7 (Ada), and 12 (Jane) have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss? They'd probably talk about their husbands, and I'm not sure where they'd go.

    6. 3 (Joe) challenges 10(Marius) to a duel. What happens? That wouldn't happen, but if it did, Joe would probably not shoot, and then Marius wouldn't shoot either, but Joe might start a fist fight.

    7. If 1 (Adam) stole 8's (Mr. Jarndyce) most precious possession, how would she/he get it back? Well, I don't think Mr. Jarndyce has a most precious possession, and I don't think Adam would steal anything, so..that one is kind of..unanswerable.

    9. What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 (Legolas) and 1 (Adam) to work together?I'm not so sure what that means. ...They both like shooting things, but Legolas has a bow, and Adam has a gun, I don't really think they could work together that well, they seem alot different.

    10. If 7 (Ada) visited you for the weekend, how would you get along? I think I'd get along very well with her, she's very sweet.

    11. If you could command 1 (Adam) to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be? Oh boy! =D There's too big of a list for me to answer that.

    12. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11(Sir Henry)? What?

    13. If 2 (Cosette) had to choose sides between 4 (Legolas) and 5 (Lucy), which would it be? Probably Lucy.

    14. What might 10 (Marius) shout while charging into battle? probably something like "Viva la republique!"

    15. If you chose a song to represent 8 (Mr. Jarndyce), which song would you choose? uhh...no clue.

    16. 1(Adam), 6 (Puddleglum), and 12 (Jane) are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it? Jane, probably, because Puddleglum would be all sulky, and Adam would let the lady have it. But what on earth would any of them be doing in a Chinese resturant in the first place?

    17. What might be a good pick-up line for 2 (Cosette) to use on 10(Marius)? Well, they both go together, so, "I love you" ;-)

    18. What would 5 (Lucy) most likely be arrested for? Oh, I can't even begin to make a list.

    19. What is 6's (Puddleglum) secret? Puddleglum has no secrets.

    20. If 11 (Sir Henry) and 9 (Elwood) were racing to a destination, who would get there first? I don't know, I'll say Sir Henry.

    21. If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 (Ada) or 8 (Mr. Jarndyce)? Mr. Jarndyce, certainly!

That was alot of fun! Anyone can take this one.

    God Bless You,

     Taylor

    Written in Happenings

Hi everyone!  In Sunday school, we made cards to send to the family they have serving in China. We had tons of fun doing it. My church had a Thanksgiving fellowship. I helped serve the food to everyone. (By the way, dipping mashed potatoes for 30 minutes really builds the muscles in your hand ;-P. It also gave me a blister. Ow.) I enjoyed serving, especially because they invited some homeless people to join. After I finished up, I got myself a plate and sat in the corner with my friends. We had a really fun time talking about FASA and singing Annie Moses Band songs and "Early One Morning".

Tomorrow my sisters and I are going to see our friends, and on Tuesday, we are going to see a family we haven't seen in 3 years! I really miss them, and I can't wait to see them again after so long!

Before you leave this entry, I have a just for fun poll for ya'll to do.

    God Bless You,

    Taylor

What do you think of Bonanza?

I've heard of it, but I've never seen it.
I've seen one, but I don't realy know what I think of it.

    Why?

    Written in Important

Why is it, when I have such a great life: an indescribable relationship with the Lord, a wonderful family, fantastic friends, a house that fits our needs, enough food, the amazing blessing of being homeschooled, a loving church, that I can still complain? Why do I still fight with my sisters because they won't let me on the Xbox, or they're plunking on my piano? Why is it that even though I am so thankful to be homeschooled, I still whine and sulk over having to balance chemistry equations? I mean, that is probably one of the most childish things I could do. Homeschooling is the oportunity of a lifetime for me, and I'm thanking my parents by complaining about science. Being homeschooling is one of the greatest things that have happened to me, it's making me smarter each day, shouldn't I be thankful that I have to do chemistry? My sisters and I have the greatest times with each other, talking and laughing about who knows what, and singing to the top of our lungs, and I show my appreciation by arguing when they won't move on the couch? Oh boy, God and I have some work to do.

    God Bless You,

Hey ya'll! What's new? I have alot of news just in the last few days.

To start off, we have no more pet rats, they have a new home. We just couldn't keep them anymore. I'm not sad or happy, very indifferent.

Don't play with fire, kids. Yesterday my family and I were working in the backyard, and Dad lit a fire on the burn pile. And, me and Emma, being the girls we are, had a fun time setting sticks on fire and messing around with it. Well, Emma just took a stick out of the fire and poked me in the back of the neck with it! It was not nice, to say the least, but I was too surprised to feel as much pain as I should have. Apparently it looks really bad, but I wouldn't know, because I can't see the back of my neck.

My dad took my sisters and I to an Annie Moses Band concert tonight, and our friends were there too! Oh, it was SO fun, I had a great time, and there were a few other friends from FASA there too. They let J___ sing his song with them. *melts* After the concert, Jeremiah (the youngest of the group), my sisters, friends, and I went outside and played tag. Afterwards, we just talked alot about FASA, had some "fist" fights, other things. It was so great, I love it when we are able to see them!

    God Bless You,

    Busier Than I Thought.

    Written in Happenings

Finally, I'm making a real entry. First off, last Sunday I worked in the nursery at our church. Preschoolers are alot of work, but it was fun, I enjoyed it.

Yesterday my sisters and I played our instruments at a church for some special dinner they were having. Emma and Hailey did great. I did....eh.

Next Sunday we're going to an Annie Moses Band concert! Yipee! I do believe that Hailey is going to confront Jeremiah about him "kidnapping" the baby she was holding at FASA. And she's probably going to confront Ben about what Starbucks drink it was that he was carrying, since she has a Starbucks gift card now. *Winks at Hailey*

I'm sick. Not majorly sick, but still sick, I have a sore throat and my ears kind of hurt. =/ Well, such is life.

Hailey and I got Emma Seasons 3 and 4 of I Love Lucy for an early birthday present. We've already watched all of Seasons 1 and 2, and we're rushing through Season 3 to get to 4, when they're off to Hollywood!

Mom gave us the day off in school today. Thanks Mom!

Emma won first place in a flute contest she was in, yay for Emma! *Confetti*

That's all I have to say for now, other than Christmas is taking to long to get here.

    God Bless You,

     Taylor

Are my sisters and I seriously doing this? Are we really typing up the whole script to The Lord of the Rings? We must be crazy or something. It takes a cowboy (me), and evil dentist (Hailey), and a queen (Emma). I'm sure others have done it, but, really, are we out of our minds?

    God Bless You,

     Taylor

P.S. (Do ya'll prefer my shorter posts or longer ones)
