Lucy's Rust-red Dress #1
Goal: Make a complex costume and learn how to use a pattern and modify it.
Steeps:
1-Find a pattern(s) closest to the dress.
2-Draw my idea of how the dress should look.
3-Shop for all supplies needed.
4-modify patterns to get the results I want.
5-make the dress.
6-Compare results to Drawing.
Budget: $200.00 (hopefully way less than that! I have been saving for ever.)
Materals needed:
Fabric Pen to Make Markings
Thread Gray
" Skirt & Sleeve Color.
Inter Facing 1 yard Ironon'
Sleeve Fabric Arm Length
Braid For Sleeve/Piping Cuffs/ Neckline
Fabric for Neckline.
Fabric for Outer Skirt. 2 1/2 yd" 21 zip
Gray ziper 14"-16" 7" zip Inner Skirt
We can use same skirt Pattern & adjust at waist for a bit more Fullness
& Add a Bit to front to slit down center & have enough for seames
(My gandma did all that on paper)
Patterns
McCalls 5499.- for modified bodice & Sleeves.
McCalls 4246- for under Skirt and Possibly over skirt.

Inner
Skirt. $4.00
