Big Changes

Yesterday we welcomed Tara into our family.  At this stage we are not sure how long she will be with us.  She is a darling 7 week old little girl.  Both children have been really lovely with her.  I have put her on a routine and so far so good.

It was a weird feeling waiting for this little girl to arrive on my doorstep.  Many things went through my mind.

I thank God for my children and their willingness to accept another child in our family
I thank God for my wonderful supportive husband who takes the time to encourage me.
I prayed that God will do whatever is best for little Tara in the future.
I thank God for my wonderful and supportive friends who have been a great encouragement to me.
I thank God for how he has provided for us.  We were told 10 days ago we were getting Tara and I have been either given or lent every thing I could need for having Tara move in.  That removed a lot of stress of getting organised quickly.  I feel very blessed by people generosity.

Tara only woke up once last night and after a feed went straight back to sleep.  So far she has been a very easy baby.  She is a real sweety, quite alert and seems quite settled.  I taught Rachel how to make up the bottles and how to bath Tara.  It took me back to my midwifery days.  I always did enjoy working in the post natal section.
