Jun. 28, 2007 - New Category - Kid Quotes!!

Posted in Kid Quotes

My 3 y.o. daughter prompted me to start a new category on my blog - Kid Quotes.  They say the funniest things sometimes, and I really need to keep track of it.  I've got a few others on my blog somewhere that I will have to move over here.

Tonight as she was taking a bath, and washing herself.  She said, "I don't want to have stinky nipples!!"

No, my dear, no one wants stinky nipples!!  LOL

Jan. 30, 2007 - Sweet Innocence

Posted in Kid Quotes

We are expecting again!  That is not the reason for this entry, but essential to understanding it.

Yesterday I was reading our children a book, and there was a picture of several babies.  They always like to say which baby they think is the prettiest.

I then said, I wonder what our new baby will look like...

My 6 y.o. ds answered, "Maybe the new baby will have black skin, we've never had *that* before!!"

There are so many, I wish I could record them all, but here is a favorite from this morning:

"Mommy!!  I have the hiccups - that means I'm getting bigger!!"

"Oh, my!  How much bigger are you going to get?!!?"

"Probably 13 MILES!!"  *big cheesy smile*

Apr. 26, 2006 - A Biblical Answer

Posted in Kid Quotes

Yesterday I asked my son, 5 yo, 'How do you know that mommy and daddy love you?'

His FIRST answer was..."spankings..."!!!  I had to laugh; what a BIBLICAL answer--

  • He who spares the rod HATES his son, but he who loves LOVES him is careful to discipline him.   Prov. 13:24
  • The LORD disciplines those he LOVES, as a father the son he delights in.  Prov. 3:12

The rest of his answer was, "holding us, hugging us, kissing us, saying 'I love you', tickling us, playing with us, reading to us, having 'special time' with us, listening to us, talking to us...."
