As I mentioned in a previous entry, I've been going through all of our photos getting everything sorted and labeled.  I came across a picture from a trip I took to England while in high school (yes, an eon ago) - March 1985 to be exact.  Sorry for the poor quality since it's a picture of a picture.  The back of the photo indicated this is Canterbury Cathedral  - hopefully I labeled it correctly all those years ago.

3 January 2008 - Love the pic!

It's old and scary-looking. Hmmm...it would make a good picture for a writing assignment!
And oh! I LIKE HSB2 better, as far as ease in getting around. The "My account" is always at the top of the blog and I never have to log in! I took my new template from HSB1 and stuck it on HSB with a new look and it is exactly the same now. But you're right. Not as many travel over there. But someday, when I have more homestead stories to share (instead of dredging up the Archives from years ago on our 1-acre piece), I'll probably blog more over there!

No, 60's are not normal for this time of year in Southern MO. We should be in freezing temps or a little above. But I do love the warmer temps. lol

That must have been a really neat trip. My dh and I are looking forward to taking a European vacation someday, with England on the agenda.

As to your question about where I learned html...two things: 1) I have a dh who knows a healthy amount about it (and finally had the time to help me); and 2) It was a bit reminiscent of my old Word Perfect "reveal codes" days (if that makes any sense). So I knew a little myself, but dh came in real handy to teach me. Sorry, I don't know of any sites that would be good to teach it. I'm SUCH a hands-on learner, so I'm really glad dh could get me a good start.

How neat you had a chance visit England. England is one place I would like to visit someday. The picture still looks very neat, being from another picture.
Have a wonderful blessed day,
Katia

Oh, neat !!! I would love to go to England sometime. That is my heritage. I remember thinking I would try to move to England and buy a VW Bug and live in it till I could afford a place. lol What a young person will dream up. Never did it. I didn't even attempt it but I have fond memories of my day dreams. I hope to get the Cantenbury Tales soon. I hear they are real good. [0=

Ohhhhh, some day we would love to go to England. What a great memory for you!

(Re: red tide. We haven't had it up here -- sounds awful! This summer we did have an abundance of seaweed washing up, due to something going on with the gulf stream.)

That must have been an awesome trip to remember.
I strolled on down your posts and couldn't help but admire your woodpecker. We have w.p. too, but their not half as pretty as yours! Quite flamboyant!

I've never been anywhere outside of the U.S. but would love to travel many places. My DH is not too sure about crossing any oceans though, so I'll probably only get to travel in the U.S. Blessings, Traci

Neat picture! Thanks for stopping by my blog--I've been a slow blogger and un-with-it blog pal lately.
