Coreopsis (also called tickseed)

Florida's state wildflower

There are thirteen species of coreopsis.  Twelve are native to Florida and one of those is endangered.  These grow mostly in the northwest corner of our property, but occasionally spring up elsewhere.  I always hate to have to cut them down when mowing.
