Homeschooling for Jesus
|
Just wanted to say that I am still here!! About a week are so I was messing around and delete two entries.
It is snowing today!! I am so happy. It is not sticking to the roads, which is good. The ground and trees are beautiful. This is only the second snow that we have had all winter long. I was getting ready to give up on winter all together.
Today, I am hoping to start planning next school year.
Also I need to plan out next week's school schedule. We need to start wrapping some things up. I sat down the other day and planned out the boys grammar. We will finish it in May. I need to look at all the others subjects and get them planned out. There is so much to do!! But I heard it said, "It is better to wear out then rust out." Today will be a good day to get a good start on this. Supper is already planned out. My oldest son is in the Boy Scouts and they made stew last night. It is the best stew around here.
One more thing to add to my list. I need to start cleaning up the school room. It will be an all week long project. But I do better if I take big projects a little at a time.
Well, I guess I better get busy!! Lots to do.
So glad to be back posting again.
Hope everyone has a great day!!
God Bless!! Hope |

Hi!
New here!!! I have been visiting for awhile and fianlly decided that I needed to have my own place to blog. This is my first time blogging anywhere. So look over me when I mess up.
My name is Hope. I am a wife to a wonderful man for 12 years. And I am a mother of 3 wonderful children. I have two boys 10 and 9. And a daughter, 4. I love being a mom and I am finally getting the hang of homeschooling. I call this Homeschooling for Jesus, because that is why we homeschool. When my oldest was 5 and getting ready to enter the school system, Jesus spoke to my heart and told me to homeschool. I pushed the thought away and place him in school. Even though he had a wonderful teacher, he and I were not happy. During the school year, Jesus spoke to my heart again and again I pushed it away. The next year I had two boys in school. My oldest struggled during that year. All they wanted to do was test him. During the year I prayed if he did not past, I would homeschool my children. Will the year came and went and guess what, he failed.
I stated homeschool that next year. It was very rough (like all first years are). When I told people what we were doing, I felt like I was put on the spot light. I try to come up with all these BIG reasons why we were homeschooling. But I let too many people's opinions get in my way. Alone with that I was stuggling being a teacher to my children. So I put them back in school, October of that year. And it was a nightmare!!!!! When God tells you to do something, save yourself the trouble and do it. In February they were back home and safe with me. For the rest of that year, we deschooled. And by the next year we were ready to go. We have had a lot of ups and downs but God has saw us though them all. Now when people ask, "Why do you homeschool?". I tell them because Jesus told me to. And there is not much they can say to that one.
I am very excited about this. I have a lot on my mind at times and nobody to pour it out to.
Looking forward to getting to know you all!

I am hoping that I will get the hang of all this soon. Maybe if I posted more, I would. lol
I love to do this. Well at first I do and then I start getting overwhelm with all the choices.
I will change my mind about a 100 times before I place my order. Maybe it is good that I start so early.

Well nobody that truly understands. Except my husband and he is so wonderful. I feel very blessed to have him.
