Yea! Today is the First Day! The first day you can go outside in regular jeans and not shrivel up in cold! Yea! I guess I need a shorter title than that--but it's a celebration for me. Thankfully my MIL bought me a second pair of polar fleece-lined jeans this year. The first pair is getting pretty worn and I told her that I was wearing them for 3-4 days before I washed them because I couldn't stand going without. She took pity on my and got me a second pair for Christmas. That made life a lot easier. That and the insulated coveralls my husband/horses got for me too. He didn't explain how the horses got to Tractor Supply or how they knew my size, but that's what the package said. Today is the 4H sign up deadline so we have to run to the fairgrounds to get that paperwork turned in. Also, try to clean out the chicken coop. This will be the first time I just shovel the bedding out the door onto the ground and rake it underneath. There's so much water standing everywhere, I feel like I should be issuing little PFD's to everyone. I'm hoping to go to a horse-training clinic in Ohio next weekend. I can audit (watch) the clinic for about $35 day and figure I can pick up a great deal by doing so. I need to get my taxes done and turned in so I can get my refund, so I can buy a round pen, so I can get training these beasts. Gotta find some long reins too, to do ground driving. So, I better get moving... |
