Listening to the Holy Spirit
I really wanted to sleep in today. I really thought, if Steve would just slide this week then I would blame it on him and stay home. But then at 10am Steve came in to say he was taking the girls to church and he started to pick out his clothes. He was going to let me stay in bed (I was having a lazy morning). And I was really excited about this idea. But then, the Holy Spirit told me I needed to be at church. Something I *knew* to begin with, but was clearly getting a bump from Holy Spirit as a reminder.
So I got up. Got dressed and did my hair and face in record time and was ready to head out the door by 10:30. 10:45 actually since I had to do the babies' hair too.
And I felt so much better for being obedient and going. And when Pastor began his sermon...it was about the Holy Spirit.
A sermon just for me.
Thank you, Father.
And we sang one of my favorites today!
How Great is Our God
VERSE(1):
The splendor of a King,
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice,
All the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in light,
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at his voice,
And trembles at his voice
CHORUS(1):
How great is our God,
sing with me
How great is our God,
and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God
VERSE(2):
Age to age he stands
And time is in His Hands
Beginning and the End,
Beginning and the End
The Godhead, Three in one
Father, Spirit, Son
The Lion and the Lamb,
The Lion and the Lamb
CHORUS(1):
How great is our God,
sing with me
How great is our God,
and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God
CHORUS(2)
Name above all names
You are Worthy of all praise
and My heart will sing how great
Is our God
(x2)
CHORUS(1):
How great is our God,
Sing with me
How great is our God,
and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God
CHORUS(1):
How great is our God,
Sing with me
How great is our God,
and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God

Back at it
I've taken some time off from blogging. I'll be honest, it's mostly due to the fact that I'm no good at it. My pictures don't show up right, I can't figure out how to do a lot of the fun things that I see on other bloggers' sites.
But, I'm thinking now might be the time to try it all again. New beginnings if you will. We are getting ready for a new school year. We have new chicks. I want to have a fresh start over. So here I go.
New Goals:
-
Get into the Word each day and really listen to what God wants me to do and who He wants me to be.
-
Be more prepared for the girls' schoolwork.
-
Be a better helpmate to my wonderful husband.
-
In all things acknowledge Him!
I'd better stop with those before this list becomes overwhelming and I can't start fresh!
