Today is set to be a busy day. I have my normal stuff...two daycare kids, homeschooling 2 oldest (YES we do school year round), laundry, kitchen needs cleaning, bake a cake and make icing for training this weekend and pack to leave at 6 am tomorrow for said training...a full day to say the least.
So I get up around 6:20 take a shower, move laundry, chat with hubby day is normal so far.
Then the DC children arrive. Dad is running late doesn't kiss the boy and boy throws hideous fit...he is 1 after all. So I take them in the living room which had NOT been "kid proofed" from the night before MISTAKE #1!
He is still screaming and will not be consoled so I asked him if he wanted to watch Nemo...dun dun dun tears stop cold turkey. Yep, he's got me he KNOWS the TV should not come on until after lunch, but WHAM I walked right into that one. So I turn on the DVR to Nemo and hear DH calling from our room. He needs the iron. So I take him the iron and stay to chat. MISTAKE #2.
Imagine my shock when DH and I came into the living room to see marker on the carpet. Of course I am praying it's Crayola washable....we start the search...NOPE...found the lid...S-H-A-R-P-I-E!
OOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!
I keep those under quarantine in my office.
My knee jerk reaction is "WHO left this out?!"
Then "WHY didn't I clean the living room last night?"
Then "Why did I stay upstairs so long?"
...one look at DH and I can tell, he is thinking the SAME THING!
God bless him he was wise enough to not say it out loud!
So what am I gonna do? Our carpet is barely a year old for goodness sake. I am thinking cute area rug? But before I panic I say a quick prayer and turn to the Internet. Surely SOMEONE out there has a solution!
I found it here: http://snipurl.com/2pusm [www_ehow_com] first site to come up! Now if it only works!
So I set out to find the tools...
Low and behold it worked! I cleaned the child and the first set of lines before it hit me, this should be on my blog!
The Second HALF of the Crime Scene...the other set of tracks was twice this size...
