Thursday, May 29, 2008 - Life in Barrow

I need to post some pictures.   I know.  I thought about getting out and taking some today, but when I woke up to wind and snow flurries, sorry not happening .  Have you heard my joke about the year without a summer.

The kids bunk beds made it today, well not exactly. The mattress made and some bookshelves, one of which is ours.  I guess there was some mix up about the rest of it.  You have to laugh.  We has three mattress covers for the twins and one that fits a full.

We have started a half day schedule this week.  We are doing Sonlight and having fun with the books.  Rachel had a great time yesterday at a kniting group at the library.  She really wants to go on Saturday for the "Butterfly house."  Chris is working "Swings" this week.  He should have a couple days off next week and we plan to go for a walk on the beach.  Hope the weather is good.  I guess I'll have to talk to my own personal weather guy for that.  The kids have enjoyed hearing him on the radio giving the local forcast.

I cannot believe that it is already 6.  I need to fix Chris's "lunch" and take it over.  We are all enjoying that.  I'll try and get some pictures soon.

What an adventure your family is having. Do you consider yourselves missionaries? You should! You are reaching the far corners of the world!

I'm glad we haven't had snow for a couple of weeks! We still have some on the ground though.

Get some pics up - snow or not! You might just have to ignore the snow while living there.

Which Sonlight core(s) are you using? We're familiar with cores K-3. Next year I will be using P4/5 and probably My Father's World.

Hey! Katie told me you were on IM the other night. Sorry I missed you. It sounds like you are getting settled and all of that. I'm glad! I've been thinking of you all.
