We will be leaving Barrow on August 29th. We plan to spend some time with friends in Wasilla in route. It looks like we will even be able to make it to the Alaska State Fair. The kids are so excited.
I had about come to the conclusion that our short cool summer was over, but looks like it isn't over yet. It was in the 40's and 50's the past couple of days and looks like we will have a few more good days. We took a nice walk on the beach on Saturday. Koda (one of our dogs) really needed the exercise and when something interesting catches his eye he loses his brain a bit. So I needed to walk him, and I cannot handle him and the camera, so no pictures. It was a beautiful day though. The ice pack had been blown out beyond our view. It comes and goes this time of year. We could not see a single ice berg. The kids were so amazed! They has so much fun. They saw lots of jelly fish and enjoyed wading in the surf in their mud boots. We really need to do that again. We want to go out on the tundra again, but I would prefer to with Chris. |
Sorry about the natural gas leak. Yikes! Yep, that can feel about the same as CO. :( Glad you figured it out, though, and now you all should start to feel better.
