Yesterday was crazy busy as always. After the girls meet, we went home and I got my daughter ready for dance pictures. (The meet went well by the way...and they converted the preschool gym into a babysitting room so my son and youngest daughter were entertained the entire time! ) When we arrived at dance pictures we discovered that the picture order was changed from what it was online...so I had to change hair for ONE picture and then change it right back to the original hair style. We were also there for three hours. We finally left at around 8:30 at which time we treated our daughter to dinner at Applebee's. The photographs turned out good except for the lyrical group (from my standpoint because they were told to look like they were praying and my daughter actually looked down so you mostly see the top of her head.) They were also way overpriced in my opinion...we could only afford to have one individual shot taken of my daughter. My mil suggested that I take her to Portrait Innovations in her costumes so that I can have individual shots of her, and I just might do that.
I think it would work out better if a photographer just set up in the studio for the week and the pictures were just taken during normal class time for the entire week. (This is how we have done it before.) That way there is no rushing and it is so much more convenient for parents. A local photographer would be less expensive as well, and I could have had more pictures made for the price I paid. They might not be quite as good of a quality, but I think the trade off would be worth it.
After clearing a few things up with the dance studio, I am much more happy with it. I can't believe how nice and professional they have been about a few issues! I am a very happy dance mommy right now.
I also can't believe that it is almost *APRIL*! Springtime is the best! Our baby will turn three in less than two weeks and we still have not purchased a single present for her. What do you get the child who has everything? Seriously, she has all the handed down toys from the other 3 kids plus Christmas wasn't that long ago. I'm really clueless as to what to get her.
Blessings to you and your family this Sunday morning!
