Stubbenville, the parts that stand out to me right now, more later

HEYA!!!

Jesus loves you! seemed to be te byword of the weekend. SO the bus left at five friday morning and was a long trip up to stuubenville, 10 hours. We fgot there in time to go to the travelers mass and then dinner and then the first session. I dont remember what that particular one was about, then priase and worship and then adoration. It was the best time of my life!! we sang the entire time and then the priest brought out the monstrance, i was ablt to keep myself together for a little bit, but then i broke down, i couldnt bring myself to look at jesus. He was so colse, juts up on the alter. I cried a lot and i think God has revealed His vocation for me, to me. That was really cool. then we went bakc to the dorms and went to bed. We woke up really early and had  a priase and worship session and then split up into boys and girls and had sperate sessions, then mass, then lunch and then a fund session, lotd of loud music. Oh! Fr. Leo break danced for us, that was totally awesome,  a priest breakdancing. And then i went with Jenni to a talk about the mass and hwo to enter in to the spirit of the mass more fully. Fr dave did that one. And then i heard the vocation talkj from Fr Leo and then we had small groups and dinner. Then more priase and worship and another talk and than adoratiopn again. This time they paraded the Monstrance around and several people that were sitting next to me broke down.  So i put my needs asiade and sat with them and God gave me words for them and i told the people what God had said to me to them!! it was so amazing, i saw someone who had been skeptical all weekend give in and it was so beautiful! so i gave him some encouraging words. Then we had small groups and then went to bed. Sunday  moring we loaded the buss and went tot the ending session. then mass, and the bishop of stubbenville came and said it. Id never looked at the mass the way i did yesterday, i gopt to eat jesus! it was amazing!! then there was the long bus ride home and we finaly made it back at about 12:30. Oh, one last thing for now, i got a really cool teeshirt.

A thought on Narnia

Narnia is often thought as a parody of the Bible. But in all reallity its not. Lewis was only vaguley considering returning to the church at the time the Narnia books were written. He was only writting what he knew, which turned out to be the truth, only he didnt realize it, narnia portrayed what he knew to be the truth, but he wouldnt accept it. And now to the actual books... The horse and his boy has to be my favorite, although the books with caspian are great. The last battle is a strange and confusing and hypothetical book. In this book we all find someone that we relate to, whether we are firm believers, willing to have faith, but have not made the decision; or have come bakc to the truth, or resist it and end up in hell. It took me a while to understand this book, such ideas are not new to me, but never have presented to me in that way. And now the movies... bbc's are very true the books, they just have bad effects. The new movies have great animation, but they are not quite the books incarnet.

Last night

Well, i have survived, but just barely. Last night was relay for life, a huge cancer fundraising walk. My Venture crew participated and also singed up for clean up the next morning. It was really fun but for the foot cramp turing into a bruise(dont ask me how) and my legs feel like jelly from so much walking. No word yet on how much money was raised, but its expected soon.  We decicded to participate next year and start our fundraing much sooner, like in september.
