Morning Bonding

Jason has decided to get our oldest son, Josiah up each morning before he heads of to work. They have breakfast together and do their guy thing. Really I'm not entirely sure what they do. Basically from what I get its just hanging out together. I don't know because I'm usually still asleep.

They've been doing this for about a week now. I've seen a change in Josiah. He has been having some stubbornness over the last month or so (toward me). And he's been having a hard time focusing on schoolwork.

Not this week though. He seems more relaxed. He seems to have a "go with the flow" attitude that I'm really enjoying. I would have never guessed that his behaviour had anything to do with him wanting to spend more time with daddy. But it make sence. He's at that awkward stage where mommy just won't do.

And their's an added benefit to all this... after daddy leaves for work Josiah goes back up to his room and cleans it. When he's all done he comes down to our room and cuddles a bit. (He is NOT a cuddle bug and never has been, so this is nice).

So I said all that to say this... I was thinking about this cool turn of events and how I am when I don't take time to spend with God. I'm stubborn and unfocused and down right crabby. It's strange how we never really outgrow needing to spend time with Daddy. I'm glad He gives us reminders like this one through the lives of our loved ones. I learn so much that way.

Boys really need their fathers. I especially see this with my five year old son. I just loves his daddy and craves his attention. Just wanted to send a note to wish you and yours a happy thanksgiving.

Blessings, mlpinky
