He was healthy, strong and had money and power. He was half-god and half-man. Gilgamesh was a very bad king because, he made people serve him and took their children as slaves. The people called out to the sky-god. They said, "Help us, our king is evil. We cannot fight him because he has the power of a god." So Anu, the sky-god sent down a enemy to teach him a lesson. Anu made a half-man and half-animal and called him Enkidu. He told Enkidu to go down and fight Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh had a dream of an ax bigger then him. So big that he couldn't lift it. He told his mother about the dream. She told him that a man was outside to destroy him and told him that he had to make friends with him or die. A trapper's son saw Enkidu. He was sorry for Enkidu so he took him home. He introduced his friends to him and taught him how to eat and wear clothes. Enkidu and his friends went a wedding in Uruk. Gilgamesh decided to go into the hall, grab the girl and drag her away. Enkidu was angry. He got in the doorway and said, "You'll have to get through me to get that girl out of her wedding."They got into a fight. Then they fought each other up and down. They were both bleeding. Gilgamesh won the match but, they were both bleeding. He said, "Let's be friends for now on." Enkidu and Gilgamesh became friends. Gilgamesh started being nice to the people in the city and stopped the fighting. They had lots of adventures together. A bull got out of the sky and destroyed the people in the city.
