Man, I cant believe it October already. My sis will be 17 this month. I feel old! ..LOL..
School so diffrent this year. It's weird. I'm doing more on my own. Which is more weird for my mom because she's so used to doing all of our school together. Now they only thing we do together is Chemistry. I do history, political science, art, grammer, and math. I still come to ask her questions about stuff in school. I think this is a growing point for us though. I think ( with layne going her last year of school next year) Gods showing us how to work on our own ( like we will have to in collage) . I've offen felt him telling me to do a better job on that anwser for that question an stuff like that .... its been pretty cool...
Life's been going normal. My BFF's from Maryland flew down Friday! Were going to Disney with them tommrow! Its going to be another year till we see them so I'm going to be taking in the moment.
It's been a beautiful beging of fall here in Florida.. the winds are picking up and were opening up our windows... even thought i close mine all the time..LOL.

Over the past couple of weeks I've read 2 awesome book. I thought I would share my reviews about them!
Island Girl by Sandra Byrd~
This entry in the Friends for a Season series tells a good story, punctuating it with scripture verses and other religious ideas. Thirteen-year-old Meg is spending the summer, as she usually does, on her grandparents' Oregon berry farm. But this year things are different. Tia, the daughter of the farm's Hispanic overseer, could be a friend, but there are hurdles to overcome. Meg's mother and her husband are about to have a baby, and Meg's dad, an army colonel, may be leaving the service, causing Meg to wonder if she should move and live with him on the farm. There are two overriding themes here: Meg's questions about where and with whom she should live and the nature of her friendship with a girl of another culture
My Review - I LOVE this book (and any book by Sandra Byrd for that matter). It was just a fun book to read. Byrd makes her characters sounds like teenage girls. From the usual sarcasm to using a really girly nail polish. She also ties in a need for God in each characters life.
Red Velvet~By Sandra Byrd
Friends For A Season Book 3- Thirteen-year-old Quinn finds herself spending a lot of time at the hospital lately--her mom is undergoing experimental treatment for cancer. When Quinn reads her mother's teen-years diary, she discovers a list of things her mom has wanted to do before she dies. Though reluctant to face the prospect of her mother's death, Quinn determines to see that her mom accomplishes everything on the list. She teams up with her new friend Annie, whose mom is undergoing the same cancer treatment, and the two decide to sew their mothers red velvet dresses for an upcoming Valentine's Day party
My Review - This book was beyond awesome! My review kind of goes back to what I wrote about Island Girl..lol
Life's pretty normal around here. We had a armadillo in our pool at 3 o'clock in the morning 2 weeks ago. Long story short. By 2 hound dogs chased a armadillo into our pool. It was really funny 2 see it doing the dog pattle around our pool. Co-ops going well, so is photography. I dyed my hair. It the darkest brown you could get it. My old color was driving my nuts because it was growing out. I also got BarlowGirls new Christmas Cd off of Ituns. Now I know its not Christmas but I LOVE this CD. Its so awesome. So of BG best work.

I'm am sooo sorry for not bloggin in a while!
I ventured out and got a facebook! My mom, for a long time wouldn't let us get one because we had a blog and "that's good enough". Well when I told her almost all my Maryland friends ( including family) had one. She was like " sure you can get one"..LOL.. of course she has one so she can monitor us :)
So I've been busy with that, school ( much more this year with co-op), and oh ya, Tropical Storm Fay, which by the hand of the Lord has not come near our house. Its just a tad windy and rainy.
So I will try to keep up with my blog! Thanks for all the comments I love them!

School... I just had to start again. Summer went by 2 fast. Well at least for me it did.
I start Co-op tommrow! I'm kind of excited. The classes I'm taking ( the ones I can remember) are American Government, Modern History , Easy Grammar, Journalism, Chemistry, and yearbook. I think I have more but I can't remember. I'm looking forward to taking Modern History and Yearbook.. I'm also taking a Photography class this year! Its a hole year corse and I know the guy teaching it. He goes to our church and takes photos for our church. He is a AWESOME photographer. I can't wait!
So with that said. If you get a chance. I notice I do a lot of reviews on movies. So on the left side bar there is a sections where you can see my latest review and read it by clicking on the icon. Of course the newest one in Penelope. I also have a trailer for Penelope in the section. I hope you like it and get to check it out!

P.S And don't forget to turn off my music player when watching the trailer.. :) |
