• Jan. 4, 2008 - A gift for Christmas

Dear Readers,
I have recently been informed that the monthly challenge at Homeschool Blogger is to write a post about a gift you received this year.  I am not going to write about my most expensive gift, or my favorite gift, but a gift that meant alot to me.  I go to youth group every friday night, and this friday night was the Christmas party.  I was trying to memorize my verses from John when we arrived.  I walked into the building, all exited with only four days until Christmas as I walked up to the youth room.  We did our bible lesson, as usual, and had Pie and Cookies.  Afterward, the Youth leaders gave us each a bag of goodies for Christmas.  After I was done exclaiming over my new coffee mug, lotion, and candy, a girl who I barely knew walked up to me and handed me a wrapped package.  I did not know this girl, exept her name was Nancy, and I was pretty sure she was mentally handicapped, but I was just so surprised, this girl didn't know me, but she did know alot of the other people in the youth group.  On the package was written: To: A Girl, Love: Nancy.  I was just so surprised that someone I didn't know, who I had never really TALKED to, had just given me a gift.  She hadn't given one to anybody else.  So I opened my present, and inside was a package of body wash, and soaps.  It was a very meaningfull gift to me, because of how it was given, and who it was from.
                        Thank you for reading!
