After speaking to another Homeschool Mum yesterday, I have decided to change some of DS15s subjects. I will have him starting Old testament survey, Music and General maths and leaving Algerbra for his senior. He has nearly finished Algerbra so he should pick it up easily after general maths. And that is all the Maths he needs to do if he wants, but I think Hubby will want him to do another maths, especially if he wants to be a builder. Even though he has been working on this, his other subjects have kind of stalled a bit especially typing. So this way he can power away again. He will now be doing Typing, English,Physics,OTS, Maths and  Music. Music is only 6 paces, so after that he wants to do French. He will most probably be finished his schooling by the end of next year. How exciting. I love seeing them achieve. I guess that is what we do, guide them and see them take on the responsiblity of their own lives. Homeschooling lets them do that without any of the distractions that life can throw at them. Spending time with other Mums is so important. It can give you ideas that make life that little bit more easier. I think DS13 will do things a bit better. Even though he is a dreamer and can spend half a day looking out the window, once he puts his mind to something it is all full steam ahead. He tends not to stress about subjects either. He is well on his way to finishing his junior certificate.
