Oh Happy Happy Day

Jun. 17, 2008 - Summer...

So summer is finally here! School is out! Well actually summer has been here and school has ended for what two weeks now? I'm a little late on announcing, sharing to the world that school is out. But hey, I didn't really need to, did I? We all were counting the days until summer arrived and now that it's here you don't need me telling you it's here, do ya? And even if I  did want to announce it just for the sake of screaming it t o in the ears of my few readers, I can't turn back time! Time machines haven't been built yet!
    But enough of my rambling!

Have you ever I noticed that in the winter when you have seven layers on, your huddled around the fire and you haven't seen a single snowflake, you just want winter to go away and summer to come out in it's shining glory? Have you noticed that in the height of summer, when its one hundred and thirty degrees, and sweat is pouring off of you that you long for winter and it's extreme coldness? Isn't it funny that when we get to the hardest part of "favorite" time of the year or tastes suddenly change and we want something "better"?
   Isn't it funny?

Apr. 15, 2008 - Sooo

Soooo we stayed up watching a movie "Across the Universe" and yes, it was the worst movie but it had good music, mostly from the Beatles. (The last song on my playlist thing is one from the movie , really good!) Anyway we watched that movie.... Oh and I got texting! I'm super excited! I've been texting for like tbue days straight! No, but seriously, I really like it!
Let's see... oh and we're taking tests this week! That'll be fun!

Let me see if I can find something good to put on...

How's that?

Mar. 16, 2008 - SPRING BREAK!!!! Or not....

So seriously I meant to write something for spring break or at least Easter! But alas! I didn't! I'm sorry! So I will write about both!

Spring Break: Spring break for me was really good! About a week before spring I had nothing going on but then a few days later my week was booked! Funny how that works!  I saw a lot of my friends, ate lots of junk food, and went places. I had a blast!
It's funny, though, how one week of no school is so much fun (or at least can be!)

Easter: Easter, we stayed here but we had a Easter egg "hunt" at my church. It was really funny seeing how the little kids reacted to the pile of eggs everywhere! One little boy though there was a pile by his feet only picked a few cause he wanted to leave some for others. But some (like my sister) got upset when someone took "her" egg. It was really go! d.

All in all I had a good Easter and Spring break!

That's it! I have another idea for the next entry, hopefully it'll be real soon!

Feb. 24, 2008 - My Trip....

This weekend my family and I all went to visit my grandparents. For the two night and two days we stayed there it was surprisingly relaxing.
The time in the car for the most part was pretty good. My dad danced to his theme song "You may be right" by Billy Joel. On the way back my little sister talked for about 30 minutes straight. But all in all it was really fun.
You see, when my family goes on a vacation, it usually isn't that much fun. The noise, the hours in the car usually drive us all bonkers.
But enough about my silly trip.... I need to think of something REALLY good to write about....

  Let's see...

O, well there was a book I just read that was pretty good.... Blink by Ted Dekker (I know I'm supposed to underline the book and all that stuff but I'm just to lazy...). It was really good, it said a lot about the  women in  Saudi  Arabia and how they are treated but it also talked about faith. I really liked it.

Wow! This entry was really boring but oh, well.... I'll try not to bore you next time :D

Jan. 29, 2008 - Journals

Have you ever wondered how and what people wrote in their diaries?
Did the simply write what happened during the day...

Today I did all my school bad had some trouble with math.    History is getting more boring, but English is so intresting...

Or maybe they just listed what they did...

11:45- Finished most of school and started on choures.
12:30- Had Lunch
1:00 - Started school again

Maybe they wrote everything down like talking to a dear friend...

Dear Diary,
I had the best day in the world today! My dad took me to
the museum, all by myself and we had a blast! Alth
ough I
love my family to death it nice to get away sometimes, you know?

They could have just written down the funny stuff...

My little sister said the funniest thing today! When
my Mom asked when she had a bad day she said, "I had a bad
day when I couldn't have candy or anything. That was a bad day!"

But we have no real way to see how people really write in their diaries do we?
Well then, all we are left to do is guess...

Jan. 12, 2008 - Story- Tell me what you think!

Here is a story I wrote tell me what you think!

Gertrude lifted her dull brown dress with one hand, while balancing her carry-on in the other only to jump, half trip down the step of the stage. In the process of this graceful act, she dropped her small bag, lost her hat, and turned her skirt a light brown color, from the dust that whipped through the air and covered the ground.
With slow deliberate motions, Gertrude lifted herself up, off the ground and dusted her skirt off. With one quick glance, she surveyed the town almost gasping in surprise. The town, if it could even be called that, consisted of five structures; Monty's General Store, The Golden Tree Tavern, Sunshine Inn, 'Ol Saloon, and Jim Bo's Blacksmith.
Starting from her reverie, Gertrude lifted her dress, grabbed her bag and started walking only to discover her hat gone--not on her head, not in sight.
"Oh, well, It was a old hat anyway." Gertrude thought with a sigh.

That was just a small part of it tell me if you want to hear more!

Nov. 21, 2007 - Thankksgiving Week!

Well, it's Thanksginving's week!

YAY!!!!!! Anyway,  I'm at my grandparents house with all my millions of cousins but it been pretty fun so far, but VERY noisy.

I was thinking wbout what we are having for thanksgiving and right now it sounds like turkey, greenbeans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, salad, and about five pies! :) Won't that be fun!

But seriously, it will probably soooo fun. Usually after we eat we play kickball or something really fun, which probably always ends up with someone getting hurt or givin' up. Then we probably will go inside and fill up with more sweets and loads of TV and electonics. Then we will have leftovers and more pie and sugar!

Ok, so who really cares what we will eat??

Here is something to make thanksgiving break special....

KIDS IN GRADE SCHOOL THINK FAST

TEACHER: Why are you late?
WEBSTER: Because of the sign.

_____________

TEACHER: What is the chemical formula for water?
SARAH: H I J K L M N O!!
TEACHER: What are you talking about?
SARAH: Yesterday you said it's H to O!
______________

TEACHER: George, go to the map and find North America.
GEORGE: Here it is!
TEACHER: Correct. Now class, who discovered America ?
CLASS: George!
______________

TEACHER: Willie, name one important thing we have
today that we didn't have ten years ago.
WILLIE: Me!
______________

TEACHER: Tommy, why do you always get so dirty?
TOMMY: Well, I'm a lot closer to the ground than you are.
______________

TEACHER: Ellen, give me a sentence starting with "I."
ELLEN: I is...
TEACHER: No, Ellen..... Always say, "I am."
ELLEN: All right... "I am the ninth letter of the alphabet."
_____________

TEACHER: "Can anybody give an example of COINCIDENCE?"
JOHNNY: "Sir, my Mother and Father got married on the
same day, same time."
_____________

TEACHER: "George Washington not only chopped down
his father's cherry tree, but also admitted doing
it. Now do you know why his father didn't punish him?"
JOHNNY: "Because George still had the axe in his hand."
______________

TEACHER: Now, Sam, tell me frankly, do you say
prayers before eating?
SAM: No sir, I don't have to, my Mom is a good cook.

exactly the same as your brother's. Did you copy his?

Sep. 10, 2007 - Email #2

I watched a movie called "One Night with the King" again last night. It's such a good movie! It really gives you a whole new light on the story of Esther and how much courage she had to have to go before the King, uninvited.

Here's another email I liked....

Email #2- Billy Graham

Billy Graham was returning to Charlotte after a speaking engagement.
When his plane arrived there was a limousine there to transport him to his home.
As he prepared to get into the limo, he stopped and spoke to the driver.

"You know, he said, I am 87 years old and I have never driven a limousine.  Would you mind if I drove it for a while?"

The driver said, "No problem. Have at it."

Billy gets into the driver's seat and they head off down the highway.
A short distance away sat a
rookie State Trooper operating his first speed trap.  The long black limo went by him doing 70 in a 55 mph zone.

The trooper pulled out and easily caught the limo and he got out of his patrol car
to begin the procedure. The young trooper walked up to the driver's door
and when the glass was rolled down, he was surprised to see who was driving.

He immediately excused himself and went back to his car and called his supervisor.

He told the supervisor, "I know we are supposed to enforce the law... But I also know that important people are given certain courtesies. I need to know what I should do because I have stopped a very important person."

The supervisor asked, "Is it the governor?"

The young trooper said, "No, he's more important than that."

The supervisor said, "Oh, so it's the president."

The young trooper said, "No, he's even more important than that."

The supervisor finally asked, "Well then, who is it?"

The young
trooper said, "I think it's Jesus, because he's got Billy Graham for a chauffeur!"

Sep. 1, 2007 - Emails......

I don't know what I want to say as an introduction or welcome soooo I won't.:)

For the past week or so I have spent a lot of time deleting and going through my emails.  Here is one that I liked:

Email #1- Attitude

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.  "Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today." So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.  "H-M-M, " she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today."  So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.  "Well," she said, "Today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.  "YEAH!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"

Attitude is everything
