As a blessedly busy wife and mother, my days are full from morning till night. With so many things to attend to I often end a day without accomplishing all that I had hoped. Writing is usually one of the things that I love to do, but never quite get done (as is evidenced by my sparsely posted blog). While I am trying to learn how to carefully and wisely use my time, I have come to the conclusion that writing needs to move up a bit on my priority list.
After hearing of Missey Gray's death and reading through her blog, I was struck afresh by the importance of keeping a record of daily life, thoughts, and lessons learned. How wonderful for her family to be able to read all that she wrote and to have those memories preserved.
While my days and arms are full to overflowing with the beloved blessings the Lord has given me, while I will continue to try to learn to daily live out Deuteronomy 6:5-9, Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 and while I firmly believe that these things take the utmost priority in my life, I am going to try harder to not just live these precious days, but to pause for a moment or two now and then to record them and all the Lord is teaching me. (Which means I might have to ignore run on sentences and type one handed with a baby on my lap, but which simply MUST not be used as an excuse to stay up later than I should ;-) )
