Apr. 29, 2006 - Arrggghh! How does one get rid of ANTS?
Help, please we are being over run! Any advice is most welcome! Cinnamon doesn't work, dry grits don't work , Borax doesn't work, baby powder doesn't work! I am beginning to feel how Pharoah felt about the Israelites, except in this case WE are the good guys and the ants are the bad guys.
I am starting to think that they are viewing this as THEIR house and are trying to come up with ideas to get rid of US! This does not give one a feeling of peace. In fact, I hope they aren't reading this. I'd better post this and close the screen.

My mom used cucumber peels sprinkled with salt, I think. Can't remember if it worked!
Also, I remember lemon juice getting used at one point. No idea if it worked either. My husband uses Ant Spray. It works. :) |

| LOL We had ants one year, and I gotta tell you...of all the bugs, I hate ants the most! Next to centipedes which I don't see very often, thank the LORD! Anyway, I tried cinnamon too and it didn't work. What works VERY well is cayenne pepper. Apparently, it burns their tiny feet. Oh, isn't that a shame?!? Give that a try and see if it works. |

I had ants in my pantry last week or so. I took everything out, sprayed vinegar water(white vinegar and water in equal amounts), then painted the pantry, they have not revisited us! Good luck!
