CcubedN

I don't remember how I came up with CcubedN, but when I did everyone LOVED it and it is a family favorite. Its also quick and easy which makes it great for when the day gets away from you and you realize its after six, the kids are hungry, dad is on his way home and you haven't made dinner. :D
CcubedN stands for Creamy Cheesy Chicken and Noodles. Pretty explanatory, eh?

Ingredients:

2-3 Chicken Breasts
1 6oz. package of Cream Cheese
1-1 1/2 cup Shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
2-3 cloves Garlic
2-16oz. packages of Noodles. (Whichever you want. I like Penne Rigate)
1/2 cup Milk
a little bit of ranch dressing (my secret ingredient)
Directions:
Put the noodles in a pan of boiling water to cook. Cook the chicken all the way with the garlic, onion, and italian seasonings. Chop up the chicken into small pieces and put back into pan, adding in the Cream Cheese, Ranch and Milk. Medium heat til soft and creamy. You may have to add more milk to get the right consistency of creaminess. Keep on low til the noodles are done.
When the noodles are done, pour the sauce over the noodles, and stir well. Make sure the noodles are covered with the sauce. Put in a oven safe dish and shred some MJ over the top and bake for about 15minutes on 400' or until the cheese is slightly brown and crunchy on top.
Serve with your favorite veggies. We had it with Chilli Corn Salad for dinner, but its also really good with Fried Green Beans too.

That is my own special recipe. Its simple and easy and cuts down on your time in the kitchen with is GREAT for me. ;)

Taste the Atmosphere

Just for fun!

Taste the Atmosphere

The sky revolves around the earth as I lie on gossamer turf
Just sipping the clouds. They taste like my dreams and a sunflower gleam.
With a sparrow-splash here and there, all blended as I smile and stare.
Spectacular is everywhere.

If you would open your mouth and your eyes
To taste the indigo sky
You'd fall overboard with your daydreams on the rise.
So top-heavy because they go to your head.
Your veins will rush with sunset flush instead.
And you'd never go back to bed.

Sometimes the sky gets tangled in the branches as they dare to tease
The wind who always wins. And the stars get stuck in a leafy hug.
Some of the dust brushes off. It floats down and makes me cough.
But it tastes like burning lemon drops.

If you would open your mouth and your eyes
To taste the indigo sky
You'd fall overboard with your daydreams on the rise.
So top-heavy because they go to your head.
Your veins will rush with sunset flush instead.
And you'd never go back to bed.

When you've tasted the atmosphere everything else begins to smear into something sublime.
A glorious water slide.
Just let yourself glide.

If you would open your mouth and your eyes
To taste the indigo sky
You'd fall overboard with your daydreams on the rise.
So top-heavy because they go to your head.
Your veins will rush with sunset flush instead.
And you'd never go back to bed.

Updates and beginning to look like Christmas!

Hi Everyone!

Wow, it has been quite a while since I last posted. I have a some updates for you, so keep reading on! :)

On Tuesday we had our first snow!! It was just a dusting, but it was still snow! lol :) It looked beautiful!!

Here is what our backyard looked like! :)

And here is our front yard, from my room's window view.

On Wednesday, it was my Mom's Birthday! My dad bought her a cake and for her gift we got her lots of pretty yarn, because she knits now. :) The cake was so beautiful and yummy!

It is also beginning to look a lot  like Christmas, because I have made my Christmas Cards for family and friends! I got a Christmas stamp set at a yardsale this summer for $5, and it probably was the best $5 dollars I have spent! The cards turned out great!

Here is the card's design! I think the stamp on it is so cute! After I stamped the stamp onto the paper, I used colored pencils and colored in the stamp. :) The inside of the card has a stamp also, that is Luke 2:11.:)

Here I am making cards! I always make a mess while making them. It helps me to have all my materials in front of me. lol :)

Tonight my sister and I are going Christmas shopping with my Grandma and Aunt. We are buying gifts for my parents! Hope and I have some ideas...:)

Also, do you like my new template? I needed to make it wintery. :) I have been wanting a little more room for pictures, so I stretched this template a little bit. Do you like it? :)

Have a Wonderful day, thanks for reading!

Love,

Liz

Merry Tossmas!

Want to be added to my mailingl list? Send me your e-mail in an e-mail, private message, or comment.
**************************************************

Hey everyone!

Before I start, does anyone want to be added to my mailing list who isn't already on it? It would make my day. ;) I update (hopefully) once a week, depending on my school workload, so you won't be getting 40 different e-mails a month to sort through, probably no more than 6 a month. :)

So anyhow.....

I'm not going to write anything profound today, (jk) but am going to post this what I think is hilarious video and then tell you all what I think of it:

Tossmas happens when you get your first catalogue for holiday specials to December 25. I encourage all of you to celebrate tossmas together! I know I am. ;) This includes the following:

  • Holiday cards
  • Fliers
  • Gift catalogues
  • Wrapping paper
  • Anything that says x-mas (the x can mean anything, can't it? Especially tossmas!)
  • ANYTHING that is for Christmas, but doesn't say the actual word.

So what do you think? Do you think he's right? Do you disagree? Have any more good videos like this one you want to share? Tell me below. :) I love reading your comments!

Merry CHRISTmas!

"A Date That Will Live In Infamy"

You all know what that date is: December 7th, 1941 when the naval base of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was surprisingly attacked by the Japanese navy. This attack brought the United States into World War II.
At 6:09 a.m. on December 7, six Japanese carriers launched the first wave of 183 planes that included: dive bombers, horizontal bombers and fighters. The Japanese hit American ships and military installations at 7:55 a.m. That first wave attacked Ford Island. At 8:30 a.m. the second wave of 180 Japanese torpedo bombers, attacked the fleet anchored in Pearl Harbor. The battleship Arizona was hit with an armor piercing bomb that penetrated the forward ammunition compartment. The bomb blew the ship apart and it sunk within seconds.

All together nine U.S. fleet ships were sunk (two of them were raised out of the ocean and returned to service later in the war) and twenty-one ships were severely damaged. Three of the twenty-one were irreparable. The Japanese sank and damaged three cruisers, three destroyers, one minelayer, and 188 aircraft. The power station, shipyard, maintenance, fuel and torpedo storage facilities, the submarine piers, and the headquarters building (home of the intelligence section) of Pearl Harbor were not hit.
The death toll of the attack reached 2,350, including 68 civilians, and 1,178 injured. The loss of military personnel at Pearl Harbor was1,177 and they were from the Arizona. The Japanese losses were minimal with 29 aircraft, 5 midget submarines and 65 servicemen killed or wounded.

This attack by the Japanese was intended to subdue the US Pacific Fleet and protect Japan's advance into Malaya and the Dutch East Indies. Both the US and Japan had long standing plans for war in the Pacific that were always updated as strains between the two countries constantly increased during the 1930's.
The attack was an important encounter of World War II. Though the US has already been planning to deliver a formal declaration of war, this event brought it to pass sooner than the government had intended and pushed the US public assessment from isolationism of war to the acceptance of participating in it as being inescapable. The lack of warning led President Roosevelt to call December 7th "a date which will live in infamy."

December 7th has lived in infamy for 67 years. The living survivors, of whom the numbers are dwindling, remember that day with sadness because of the comrades they lost and the heavy blow it left them.
Remembering our veterans is a very important task that shows we appreciate their service to our country. So on "the date that will live in infamy" take a moment to remember the 2,402 killed and 1,282 wounded at Pearl Harbor and if you know a veteran who was there, let them know that you appreciate their service!

I Am The Wretch

I was singing Amazing Grace to Samuel last night and he was just staring at me and actually smiled once. :) It got me to thinking... what a simple thing to we need to always remember: His Amazing Grace!

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

When we've been here ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun.

Every time I sing this hymn, I get a new sense of awe and gratefulness for my Savior who continually gives me his amazing grace when I so don't deserve it.
Psalms 31:21
"Blessed be ADONAI! For he has shown me his amazing grace when I was in a city under siege."
I am the wretch the song refers to and I have and will continue to receive His amazing grace because He loves me. Wow!

Got A New "Do"

Jocelyn's been asking me for a while if she could try a hairstyle on me and I made a deal with her that if I let her, she'd help me get some pics of a dressing I'm selling. :D haha.
So I let her do a Titanic Updo on me... what do y'all think?

I think it looks really awesome, if I say so myself. :) It wasn't too hard to do... only it took time to curl my hair since its straight, but other than that, not too long.

See the dress I'm wearing... I'm selling it, along with a bunch of other stuff. If you're interested... awesome. :)
