Tuesday August 7, 2007 Today went by so fast!! I went to my sons room and said 'Time for school', and he got up and went to his desk! How easy was that!!! We started at 8:50 and finished at 11:15. Handwriting: He is learning that if his handwriting isn't readable, I will make him write it again. Writing is about 20 minutes for him. Reading: He read BGTS again because there were a few words he struggled with yesterday. He read it more fluently today. Grammar/Phonics: He knows most of the 1st grade words, so we will be adding more 2nd grade words to keep it more challenging. Math: The math was too easy today. We will probably do 3 or 4 lessons Wednesday. Science: We started Life Science today and created a lap book on living things. He loves making the lap books! I will have to come up with some for next weeks lessons. Today's Lessons: Handwriting: Worksheet on writing the letter b. ( because his handwriting is sloppy) Then write all the words you know that start with B. Reading: We took turns reading Chapter 2 of Flat Stanley. Then he read Biscuit Goes to School again. Grammar/Phonics: Word Flash Cards. Then 3 worksheets on letter families & nouns Math: Lesson 1 & 2 in Book. Science: Living Things Lap Book |
