Rejoice in the LORD Always, Again I Say Rejoice!

Posted in Life Service

"So they (Paul and Peter) went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name." Acts 5:41

Pray for the persecuted!  Today is the day!  As we were reading this chapter in Acts the other night the above verse really stuck out to me.  At first my thoughts was, wow, they got their mentality all screwed up, and I realized that it was me, who "had it all screwed up"! In America, we don't realize, not truly, what persecution is, because of that it is hard for us to wrap our minds around it.  In other countries to become a believer means death, generally, and if not death, certain persecution.  That is why they have such passionate believers.  No one goes into it half-heartedly.  This is what has really been rising up in my heart lately to pray for the persecuted for Christ.  That they would, "Count it all joy" and be able to rejoice when faced with various trials.  Will you pray with us today for those who are faced with death daily, torture as a sure possibility, seperation from their families, and so much more!  Again, if you would like more information you can go to www.persecution.com

I read several months ago where Chinese Christians pray for us to be persecuted, because it has made them strong.
Some days, I don't think it's that far off.
Yes, we don't realize exactly what it is, but they do.

I agree, Hannahej. Sometimes we Christians don't realize just how easy it is to be a Christian in America. Our version of "persecution" is having someone maybe give us a cold shoulder, or call us an ugly name. We have it so easy, they have it so hard. Why isn't it equal? But then sometimes, no, MOST of the time persecution can make us stronger in the Lord.
Just my two cents on today's prayer subject. :-D

In Christ alone,

About Me

“Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications! Answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness!” Psalm 143:1 Dear brothers and sisters in the LORD, I have felt called to head up a nation-wide day of prayer called “United We Kneel” the 3rd of each month. It is a day for teenagers around the world to fall on their knees and unite in prayer before our Father, beseeching Him to bring our nation back to Him. How far you take it is up to you. You can fast all day, you can get all your immediate friends together for a prayer meeting, you can put flyers up all over your town or city, or you can just take time throughout the day to pray with a humbled and sincere heart. Whatever you choose to do, nothing is too big or too small to escape the LORD’s notice. Will you take a stand? Will you kneel with us on the 3rd?
