United We Kneel November

Posted in Life Service

United We Kneel: Tuesday November 3rd

This United We Kneel I would like us to pray for strength and encouragement for the body of teenage and young adult believers. It seems like so many are being pulled away by the wiles of the world. The time is short, we need every young person to fight on the front lines, now! We cannot afford to lose any more ground.  We must stand firm in our convictions and fight for what we know to be right. So, I am asking for you to pray for a revival in the hearts of the young people. That we would realize that we are not too young to make a difference, and we would start living like sons and daughters of the King!

I would also like to ask you to pray that our hearts would not be divided in our goal. That we would not allow sin to sneak in and divide our interests from what is the LORD’s plan. May we not become weary in doing good but stand boldly for the truth and justice so dear to our Father’s heart. May all we do and say reflect His character in us!

Stand strong brothers and sisters,

Kneeling At His Feet

September 3rd-----Prodigals

United We Kneel September: Prodigals

This month we voted that we should pray for the prodigals. It seems like there are so many now, more than ever! Or maybe I am just now learning to notice and pray for those families who are in like pain. It is undescribable the pain that you feel when you have been so close to another human being and without your knowledge you watch them reject everything you stand for and it literally feels like your heart is tearing in two. Guilty thoughts start running through your head like , “Maybe I wasn’t a good enough witness in my life to him/her”, “How could we have been so close and not sense what was really going on?”, “Could I have done something to stop him/her?”.  Living in the past is not an option for Believers, but learning from it certainly is.  Because of this situation with my brother, my family has grown closer and has leaned on each other more than ever.  The pain is lessening but is still very real and very close to our hearts.  It is extremely hard to watch him self-destruct his life and be wrapped up in the lies this world offers.  We can see that all of it is futility and will only come to death and destruction, but all he sees is the pleasure of the moment.  Is anyone else resonating with this?  So let’s get down on our knees and ask for their eyes and hearts to be opened to the truth of God’s Word and the lies they have been believing.  They are the only ones who can choose which path to take in life and no one can make them go the way they want.  The LORD has given us free choice to do what we want so let’s pray that these young men and women who have wandered astray would fall on their faces before Him and WANT to serve Him, because at the end of the day, we all do what we WANT!

The Story of the Prodigal Son as told in Luke 15:11-32

“And He said, ‘A man had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me.’ So he divided his wealth between them. And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living. Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to be impoverished. So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him to his fields to feed swine. And he would have gladly filled his stomach with the pods that the swine were eating, and no one was giving anything to him. But when he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger! I will get up and go to my father and will say to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men.’’ So he got up and came to his father.  But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and he ran and embraced him and kissed him.  And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly, bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.  Now his older son was in the field, and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing. And he summoned one of the servants and began inquiring what these things could be. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has received him back safe and sound.’ But he became angry and was not willing to go in; and his father came out and began pleading with him. But he answered and said, ‘Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and yet you have never given me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends; but when this son of yours came, who has devoured your wealth with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’ And he said to him, ‘Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours. But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’”

Prodigal- A person who has tasted the goodness of God yet turns away

Let us bring these prodigals before the LORD and ask for this year to be the year of the return of the prodigals!  Let us ask boldly before the Throne of grace that the desire of their hearts would turn from selfishness to wanting to please God.  Let’s ask big things of our BIG GOD!

Rejoice in the LORD Always, Again I Say Rejoice!

Posted in Life Service

"So they (Paul and Peter) went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name." Acts 5:41

Pray for the persecuted!  Today is the day!  As we were reading this chapter in Acts the other night the above verse really stuck out to me.  At first my thoughts was, wow, they got their mentality all screwed up, and I realized that it was me, who "had it all screwed up"! In America, we don't realize, not truly, what persecution is, because of that it is hard for us to wrap our minds around it.  In other countries to become a believer means death, generally, and if not death, certain persecution.  That is why they have such passionate believers.  No one goes into it half-heartedly.  This is what has really been rising up in my heart lately to pray for the persecuted for Christ.  That they would, "Count it all joy" and be able to rejoice when faced with various trials.  Will you pray with us today for those who are faced with death daily, torture as a sure possibility, seperation from their families, and so much more!  Again, if you would like more information you can go to www.persecution.com

May The LORD Bless You For Upholding His Children,

The Votes Are In................

Posted in Life Service

Drum roll please………………………………………………..

The votes are in and it seems that for this month’s United We Kneel we are going to focus on the persecuted believers.  If you are interested in learning about how to be more informed and specific about your prayers you can visit Voice of the Martyrs website at www.Persecution.com .  I am hoping to get a post written up about persecution before August 3rd but we’ll have to see.

For September 3rd we will be praying for prodigals to come home.  Doesn’t matter who it is, if you know someone who is away from the LORD, you can pray for them.

October will be our month to pray about abortion.  Hopefully I can do a better job at being prepared and informing you before the date about the subjects we are praying for.

Thank you for all who have participated already and who are committed to praying on August 3rd!  May the LORD bless you all abundantly!

Loving Him,

Topic for Prayer Day August 3rd

Posted in Life Service

Dear Friends and Fellow Prayer Warriors,

August 3rd is fast approaching and I am hoping to find a subject for prayer by July 27th so that we have time to focus in on our prayer need.  So here's what I'm thinking.

Need 1: The realization that abortion is murder and may the eyes of people be opened to  how evil and against God it is

Need 2: Prodigal children to return back home to the LORD

Need 3: The persecuted Church which is among many nations

These are just a few of my thoughts, if you have any, please feel free to comment them to me and on July 27th we'll have a vote for what the majority sees the greatest need for.

Keep On Fighting For The LORD,

Kneeling At His Feet

Pitch Me Out The Window

What Am I Going To Do With Myself?

“And they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:8

What am I going to do with myself?  I’m vain, proud, impatient, loud, selfish, and on and on goes the list.  I am destructive to myself if I continue in myself and my desires, in my flesh!  So what am I going to do?

If I am fulfilling my desires to myself and not God’s desires for me, I CANNOT please Him.  When I value my plans for my life over His, I CANNOT please Him.  When I love other things more than I love Him, I CANNOT please Him. When I devote more time to other things besides Him, I CANNOT please Him.  So again, what am I going to do?  I’ll tell you what I’m going to do.  I’m going to get rid of myself and not give in to the desires of my flesh.  I’m going to leave everything and I  mean, all of my plans, my dreams, my desire for a husband someday, my family, my time, my schedule, my flaws, my strengths, all at His feet. (by this I mean, committing them all to His will)

My deepest desire is to PLEASE HIM.  If I am in my flesh, it is impossible to please Him.  Every time I start thinking I’ve got it all under control, I smite Him, I tell Him that His sacrifice isn’t good enough.  I tell Him that I am a hypocrite.  I tell Him that all I’m gonna do for Him is give Him my lip service.  I WILL NOT do that any longer.  He deserves my all, my entire life, all my efforts, all my devotion, all my time.  Every day I live will be for Him.  To glorify Him, to praise Him, to study Him, to serve Him, to love Him, to desire Him.  No longer will I be consumed by my agenda, my dreams, my wants, and my life.  It’s gonna be about Him, and what He desires.  If that means that I need to move to Africa to be a missionary, His will be done.  If that means that I get married to a farmer with green eyes in Illinois*, His will be done.  If that means that I stay at home and serve my parents for the rest of my life, His will be done.  I am His servant and as such should be about only my Master’s business.  So what am I going to do with myself?  Well, I’m gonna fill myself up with Him until I’m overflowing. That’s what I’m gonna do with myself. How about you?

Kneeling At His Feet,

Maiden Princess

*I do not know any green eyed farmers in Illinois.  This is just hypothetical J.

Thanks Guys!

Thank You

Hello Everyone!  I hope you had a happy 4th of July weekend.  I want to say a special thanks to everyone who participated in United We Kneel!  I have been impressed by all of you who have taken an avid interest in this prayer day and your willingness to spread the word.  Which brings to mind another thing I wanted to share with you.  I was thinking that since 24 hours is so short to cover all the topic this nation needs prayer for, perhaps, we can do a prayer day every 3rd of the month on a specific topic.  For example, maybe for the 3rd of August we could pray for abortion issues, for September, our armed forces and so forth and so on.  What do you all think of that?  Do you think that’s a good idea?  Of course, every 3rd of July would always be prayer for our nation in general, just like this year.  Are you in?

One last note, I will continue updating this blog with challenging articles aimed at this nation’s teens, encouraging us to stand up for what we know is right and live our lives on fire for the LORD.  We should not be afraid to shake up this world a little for the sake of our Savior.  You have the potential to be a world changer, will you?

Your Future Will Be Your Present Sooner Than You Know

Posted in Life Service

Are You Who You Want to Be?

I went to one of my friend’s graduation party yesterday.  It seems really weird now that we’re “all grown up”.  Time seems to be flying by so fast!  It seems like just a few years ago we were little young uns planning out our futures and now we are living in those futures.

So, it brings to mind a serious question.  Are you who you want to be?  Are you who you said you’d be or have you given in to the temptations of this world and been changed by sin?  What you aim for is what you will become. If we aim for God then we will become more and more like Him.  What we dreamed about as little girls is what we are striving to live, but are we walking the way we should?  Do you know that you should be doing some things that you’re not?  We need to be aiming for perfection in Christ, because when that is our goal, we will look different from the rest of the world.  Time passes by so quickly and then it’s gone.  Will you make a mark on this earth?  Will you make a difference for Him?  Are you willing to kill the desires of your flesh to please Him?  Aim for who you know you want to be and by God’s grace that’s who you will become.

Standing Up, Heeding The Call

Posted in Life Service

Taking A Stand, Rising Above

As July 3rd continues to rapidly approach I have been pondering about prayer and what I should pray for, but not only that, also what I should be doing when Untied We Kneel is over and done.  Last night as I was lying in bed, I was thinking about teenagers/young adults taking a stand for what they believe in.  I was thinking about what I would be doing to change my world once United We Kneel was over and gone.

It was then it occurred to me that we all have the potential to be world-changers.  We are all called to change the world.  We are all called to live so uprightly and so purely in a dark and evil world that it makes a difference. We are called to shine.  Not for ourselves or for our glory, but for His.  So I ask you this question, what are you going to do when United We Kneel is over?  What will you do to change your world before United We Kneel begins?  What will you do today to change the way our world is functioning?

Will you smile at someone you don’t know?  Will you share the message of salvation with someone who is lost in this life?  Will you just go to work like usual but have a cheerful and thankful attitude while there?  God has given you the power to change your world?  Will you do it?  Will you stand for what is right no matter the consequences?  Will you live above reproach?  Will you spread the love of Christ?  Will you live and die for Him every day?  You can change the world, but it’s all up to you?  The fate of this world rests in the hands of people just like you and me?  It is changing every day, but will it be for the better or the worse?  How can you influence your world?

Just imagine, if each and every young person who claims to be a Believer actually stood up and walked like we are supposed to.  Just imagine what kind of an impact that would have on everything.  It only takes one person to stand up and heed the call, and that one person can inspire many more to do the same.

While United We Kneel is important I am more worried about what we are all doing right now to change our world.  While prayer is an important part in our walks with the LORD, and our direction as a nation, actually living what He says is more vital than anything.

Will you live out your faith today? Boldly, courageously, humbly, willingly, passionately, purposely?  The LORD is raising up a generation of warriors for Him, will you join His army?  Will you heed the call? Will you listen to His voice?

Fighting Beside You,

Kneeling At His Feet

Those Gone Before

Posted in Life Service

This quote I found interesting!!! I was looking for a good one to post on here tonight and came across this:

"Without God there is no virtue because there is no prompting of the conscience...without God there is a coarsening of the society; without God democracy will not and cannot long endure...If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under." - Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States

July 3rd isn't too far off...have you told anyone about United We Kneel yet?

Are You Hot? Are You Cold? Are You Just Luke Warm?

Posted in Life Service

Dear Readers,

You may be wondering why an article like this is appearing on a prayer blog.  Well, if you read the mission statement of why United We Kneel is being started then you read that I think, while prayer is an amazing tool, living our lives in a radical, sold-out, passionate way for Christ is what will really bring a transformation.  I wrote this a few years ago but I kept it because I believe that God really spoke through this.  Take look and let me know what you think!  Will you take the challenge to live a life without compromise?  Will you take a stand? It’s hard, but it’s worth it.  It’s what we are called to do!

Because of HIS Grace,

Kneeling At His Feet

Maiden Princess

Let’s Strike A Compromise

Compromise- To make liable to danger, suspicion, scandal, exc. ; endanger the reputation of.

Toady I want to talk to you about the danger of compromise.  Now, most people think of compromise as a good thing, a way to settle disputes and such, but when it comes to the matter of faith compromise is something we, as Christians, want to stay away from.  Read the above definition again. When we compromise our faith we endanger the name of the Lord our God.  Leviticus 22:32-33 says, “ You shall not profane My holy name, but I will be sanctified among the sons of Israel; I am the Lord who sanctifies you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, to be your God; I am the Lord.”  Profane means – to defile.   So read it like this, “You shall not defile my Holy name,”   Wow…pretty clear huh!  We are God’s children and we have the sacred calling of rightly representing our Father in Heaven.

By compromising our beliefs to fit in more with the world we are treading dangerous ground…perhaps even sinning.  Let’s look at 1 Peter 2:9 and what it says,   “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him, who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”.   God has called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light…why do we insist on trying to mix both worlds.  We are a chosen race, a royal priesthood and a holy nation.

Wait a minute…does it say holy nation?  Yes, it does.  Think about America for a minute, does it strike you as a holy nation.  It doesn’t to me, but just think of the impact we could have if we stopped compromising our values for what seems to be better…what if we cleaned the layers of soot off the panes of our lanterns and rekindled the flame.  Wouldn’t the light be a lot brighter?  “You are the light of the world.” Matthew 4:14a  “Let your light so shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 4:16  When we claim that God is trying to shine through us yet we cover the light with our old sinful ways how effective will that be?

Ok, I want you to picture this…A completely dark room.  Someone gets up to light a lamp but you don’t know who because you cannot see.  You hear the crackle of the fire on wood and light appears but it is very dim…but you can at least make out shadows now.  You are content with that and settle down to do whatever you were planning on doing.  In another house across the street there is the same situation only the person lights a lantern with clean panes, no soot covered things in this house.  The whole room illuminates and you can see everything clearly.  Now, which house would you rather be in?  Personally, I’d go for the one with the most light.

When we compromise our faith we are like the lantern with soot covered glass.  We are only a fraction of what we could be.  We are not being a clear representation of our Father.  In fact, we aren’t very clear at all and we leave those we come in contact with in confusion as well.  They don’t really know whether we represent darkness or light.  You see, as followers of Christ we should be reflections of Him not Satan.  When we compromise, most of the time we don’t know where we stand.  We won’t do a certain thing because God wouldn’t like it, but then we go do something else which we really know God would have nothing to do with.   How hypocritical!!!  We cannot serve both…we are either light or darkness.

Let’s go back to 1 Peter 2:9 for a minute, “Who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”.  God has called us out of the darkness of this world…we cannot serve Him and Satan.  We must be a clear picture of one or the other. “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other.” Matthew 6:24a  Which master are you serving today, the Master of Light or the master of darkness?

God says, “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,”. Deuteronomy 30:19   Life and Death….no compromising.  If you’re walking along the path of life and find the path of death looks better and veer to the middle where there is no path you are in serious danger.  “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.  So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16.  When you finally get to your destination from the middle of the path…you will not be wanted…you were on neither road and so came to a worse end.  You must be completely committed to serving God wholly, not a foot in each world!

God desires your WHOLE heart, not just part.  It saddens my heart as I look around and see so many Christians with a foot in each world.  I challenge you today to rise up…above the level of mediocre Christianity so many people think of and be a true follower of Christ.  Leave everything you have previously known and walk in His marvelous light, having no part in the darkness of this world.  “Do not love the world nor the things in the world.  If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” 1 John 2:15  “The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.” 1 John 2:6  “Beloved do not imitate what is evil, but what is good.  The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.”  3 John 1:11  Why should we be imitating one who has not seen God when we claim to be followers of Him?

I confront you not as a haughty young lady who has it all right but as a friend and sister in Christ.  I plead with you to rise above the level of comfort and walk to path of life so that you and your descendants may live.   You are a new creation and as such are free from the evil grip of this world.  It is your responsibility to represent God is a way that makes people hungry and thirsty for Him.  I challenge you to give you heart COMPLETELY into His capable hands and serving Him only, saying no to your flesh and the tantalizing temptation to veer from the path.

I am praying for all who read this that God will do a mighty work among this generation of young people.  That we will rise up and love God with all our hearts, souls, and might.  That we would not compromise our values for a fleeting moment of sinful pleasure and that we would not bow to evil but live in God’s glorious light. I challenge you to take up your cross, follow, and to spread the light to all who know you. True light cannot be repelled but invades every corner and crack and shows forth what was not seen.  As you make the choice to walk the road of life, I pray that your soul will ignite with a fire that burns like you have never known and that you will become some of the greatest warriors of Christ in our time.

May God be glorified in my life and yours forevermore.

About Me

“Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications! Answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness!” Psalm 143:1 Dear brothers and sisters in the LORD, I have felt called to head up a nation-wide day of prayer called “United We Kneel” the 3rd of each month. It is a day for teenagers around the world to fall on their knees and unite in prayer before our Father, beseeching Him to bring our nation back to Him. How far you take it is up to you. You can fast all day, you can get all your immediate friends together for a prayer meeting, you can put flyers up all over your town or city, or you can just take time throughout the day to pray with a humbled and sincere heart. Whatever you choose to do, nothing is too big or too small to escape the LORD’s notice. Will you take a stand? Will you kneel with us on the 3rd?
