"The" Novel: Finished. In the process of editing. I tore it apart chapter by chapter so that I could edit it properly, so I don't know THE word count.

"Jack"
Current word count: 6,044 || Goal: This can be my summer project, but my current work-in-progress has me busy.

"Coveland"
Chapters: 25 || Also on a hiatus, maybe for good... I could make it a summer project to finish this one, too, though.

"The Add-On Story"
Current count: 5,000 || Seems to be on a hiatus.

The Shadow: Finished, 109,998 words; still in the process of editing.

Current Work-in-Progress:
The Hunter, sequel to The Shadow: 53,044 words.

• Feb. 21, 2009 - It's a love story, baby just say yes.

Sorry. *grin* I fell asleep last night with "Love Story" by Taylor Swift on repeat on my iPod. And I was wondering how anyone can say that she can't sing. If you listen closely and try to sing like she does, you figure out how good she really is -- she does sing, can hit highs and lows, and I most definitely will never be able to sing like her. Sure, she's not as good live, but who can sing well live anyway? She's only 19... give her time...

I should be writing but I'm blogging instead. So I'll update my status. Right now (9:22 PM) I have 65,532 words and 135 pages. I'm trying to get this novel finished before Lent begins on March, or at least get past the interesting bits and reach the last few chapters. I'll need a lot of poking though because I always find a reason to not write and do something else. (I know what you're thinking. Uh-huh, you got 65,000 words in 21 days, you so procrastinate. Well, I do. A lot. Like, if I didn't procrastinate or have to eat to not die, the novel would be done by now.) I'm sacrificing writing for Lent, so when Lent begins I can't write anything till easter. (Shoot, I just remembered that Lent doesn't begin on March, it begins on Ash Wednesday. Whaddo I do. That's this week. O_o Help!)

Okay, with the knowledge that Lent begins ON Ash Wednesday, I have to cut this blog post short and FRIGGIN GET TO WORK. *panics* When I sacrifice writing I'll replace it with studying Bible and Apologetics and trying to stretch my hobbies over to other things. Like maybe... piano... it wants me to practice more.
...In fact, I'll try to get a blog post done daily on my other Catholic blog which I should put up the link but I'm lazy. I'll put it up when I actually start posting.

Okay things start to speed up as of... NOW.

PRAY FOR ME.

-Mariella

WHY do you want wordcounts? I near about killed myself giving "Shaddai" a 2,000 words a day or die gig, and now that I've decided to do NaNo, I'm sufficiently terrified. Wordcounts are a BOTHER. Thankfully Shaddai and NaNo weren't and won't-be so bad...
God bless,

Ok, miss, I'm leaving you an official comment. Ummm...rats...I just forgot everything you said in your comment except "Answer back!"

*is frustrated at memory*

Umm...then I'll just ramble. And forgive me if I say something that I already said last post...er....comment. *blushes*

Cherise came over the other night and we finally managed to get me muse back and CHAINED to my brain. And now I'm inspired..or at least, I will be again after I get past the certain obstacles of who, when, where, how, and what the landscape looks like past the mountains in my novel. Yes, I am much farther along than that makes it sound, but I was redoing the beginning and Cherise is going to make me do a phase outline first. And I have a trilogy to write, and her phase outline took three weeks, and NaNo is coming up, and I have to prepare eventually, and I have to write a phase outline to the 2nd book of the trilogy, which I will be using for NaNo, and I have to find time to write somewhere in this hectic life---*panics and screams*

*calms down after an hour*

Thankfully, I have all yous wonnerful blogging peoples...don't you think it's wierd when instead of 'people,' they will occasionally write 'persons'? They, of course, refering to the general world...

I think this rambling comment has gone on long enough. However, I have seen longer, especially from Gabygator....oh cool, I've given her a new name! I think I'll go tell her...See ya!

Haha, yeah, you'd BETTAH get to work! *grins* Ash Wednesday is only 38 minutes away, so I guess this'll be my last comment until Easter. *gasps* You should feel lucky, you fellow Catholic you!! :D
Speaking of which, I'm SO GLAD you're Catholic too!!! *hugs* I feel a little lonely on here now and then, because the number of Catholics is so few, ya know? *sigh*
So, you're giving up writing? Wow, that's a sacrifice. I'd like to start studying the Bible and Catholic Apologetics and stuff more in depth too, it'd be so cool. Perhaps we could do some sort of study group together! Like, after Lent [since, as you know, I'm giving up computer for Lent], we could plan to meet once a week at a certain time, either on your cbox or mine; and discuss the parts of the Bible we've read, from a Catholic point of view!! WHAA HOO!! Like that'll ever happen, though. I have high hopes but don't usually fulfill them. ;D
I LOVE your idea of journaling!!! And I especially love your idea of making your journaling writing letters to God, that's just brilliant!! He and I have had [and still have] some very amusing talks, and always one-sided. *hee hee!* The saying "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans" is SO true. I just love it. I'm always babbling to Him such nonsense, because I know He's always ready to listen, even if I don't make sense. Since He's God, I always make sense to Him, ya know? -because He can see inside of me and what I really mean to say when I can't put it into words. I always love the humor in a relationship with God, such as the story about St. Teresa of Avila. One day, when she was driving along a muddy road, her wagon got stuck fast in the mud, and her mule was quite stubborn about pulling. Exasperated, St. Teresa, glaring up at heaven, snapped jokingly "No wonder You have so few friends, since the ones You have You treat so badly!"
Well. Here I am rambling on and on, like I usually do. :) Anyways, it was SO nice to find a another Catholic, and thank you for the journal suggestion. It would be great if we kinda told each other about our Lenten experience after it was over. You're right about keeping more in touch after Easter; we MUST get better acquainted!!!
God bless you, and I hope you have a beautiful Lenten season pleasing to God.
*hugs*
~Eowyn

PS. I'm looking forward to Lent too!!!!
PPS. And it's only 22 minutes away!!
