We just got back from the Lake about an hour ago ... and look what I pulled out of the wee square-foot garden bed ...

spinach, beet and basil

I am going now to hang the basil up to dry on my pot rack.  The smell is incredible ... I will be the envy of every Blue Berry from here to Tennessee, and all will be heard singing

And look at this crock pot of Madame Lacrosse's,
And ceramic jars where she keeps all her sauces!  (that were handmade by Mrs. Kristina Campbell)
Nice sauces...

you should take some of Maddy's organic garlic that we just dug up and dried and make some homemade pesto....now that, drizzled on the tomatoes that will be bursting out soon...mmmmm one step closer to perfection!

hey it was really nice meeting you guys. I hope you did enjoy the time you spent here. I hope Neil is ok ( I hope Neil is your husband's name LOL). That plant looks awesome I thought it was beets, but you said basil? I will try to blog more and be more exciting but don't hold your breath. Hope to hear from you soon.

that is cool! our garden isn't growing that great except for the tomatoes....
