Aug. 9, 2009 - Sunday sure is fun.
I have been having a great day. It started out just a tad bumpy, but it quickly got better. We went to church and learned about fleeing from evil people. Our pastor quoted a phrase of his which I find amusing, truthful, and maybe a bit blunt. He said that 'those who don't get wisdom, `isdom'. Just sound that out if you need to and you'll get it pretty fast. So, this week is my birthday. Whoo hoo! Everybody party! I'm gonna spend a day or so with a good friend of mine who I've had for many years, and let me tell you, he is one in a million. By the way, who thinks I may have overdone it with the balloons?
And so now I would like to give you all the comic strip of the day.
My mom has signed me up for something cool. Because my birthday is coming up, I get a free Baskin Robbins Ice cream cone! Now tell me that isn't cool! I love my mom. To change the subject, I can look at my blog, and I can only hope I'm not overwhelming the whole website's database with pictures and accessories! I like computers, and I like at least to think of myself as a basic troubleshooter. I'm pretty good with technology. But I have a problem. When things go wrong with computers or video games or anything electronic whatsoever, I feel like I'm the one to blame and I must fix it immediately or there will be problems. I don't understand that about myself, mainly because it's ridiculous!!! You know, I can't help but wonder sometimes if my blog is too random. So now, just for the fun of it, I would like to inset some of my own pictures. I made it myself
My sister and I like to pretend we have a radio show, and this it's current logo. I know the name dosen't make much sense, but we didn'ty make it up. It comes from the brand name that made my mp3 player, with which we record all our episodes. That's all we use it for now, because I have an iPod, but we hope to make it into videos eventually. That'd be pretty cool. Thank you for reading this entry. I'm now going to sign out.

Aug. 8, 2009 - I love Summer.
Seriously, don't you? I mean, being able to do whatever you want virtually whenever you want for almost any reason is pretty cool if you ask me. Anyway, I had a good day. I completed all of the tasks that my mom gave me to do, and got to have a lot of fun afterwards. But even before that we got some cool things at a number of yard sales. Mom was able to get herself some clothes ( which she rarely gets) and some schoolbooks, my sister got a dollhouse, ( a nice one) and I became the proud owner of a new computer mouse, some new sheets that my parents bought for me (which as far as I'm concerned, were really needed), and a kind of MP3 player that plays the whole new testament! Can you tell I'm excited? Anyways, I think now would be a good time to give you the Peanuts® for this entry:
This would be kind of cool.
I'd lie to paste a link here that my family uses for family devotions. You may have heard about it it is called "Keys for Kids" If you have Windows Media or Realplayer on your PC or Mac, and you are interested in a short daily audio devotions site, click on the word in blue on the right.
To change the subject, can anyone reading this draw, either with a computer or real, non-digital material? I myself don't pride myself on being an artist, though I'm good at other things, and don't mind too much. But let me show you what I am talking about.
This is my idea of what a computer looks like. (Okay, no it isn't, but it's the best I could do. You can keep this picture, if you want to, by the way.)
Well, I would like to thank you all for reading this, but I am now going to go do something else. I hope you enjoyed this entry and I would like to.....

Jul. 31, 2009 - It's been quite a while, hasn't it?
Hello. How is everyone doing? Sorry this blog hasn't been updated in a long while. I really should work on this thing more. So, how is the weather down there? It's nice and sunny here now, and just a day or so ago we were experiencing temperatures of over 100 degrees. To be honest, it was starting to get a little on the unbearable side. But today it's back to the normal 78 or so. Thank goodness. Are all you homeschool mom's (and dads) having a nice summer rest? Or are you planning next school year's curriculum? My mom is doing the latter, and I think she's having a good time of it. I'm going into high school soon, and even though I'll still be homeschooling, I am still a bit nervous. I'm not good at deadlines. I need to work on my ability to push myself to work toward them, otherwise the date ends up being two days away and I get this "Hurry!" mentality, along with a feeling of guilt. Have any of you been there? I know this is off the subject (quick change!) but here is the peanuts strip of the day. (Well in reality, the server I'm getting it from released it on the 15th.)

Ever been in a situation like that? You see the obvious in front of you and yet you need someone else to point it out to you? I've done that. When I do, I can't stand it. Neither can my parents. Can't say that I blame them. I just need to make sure that I always use my common sense and not just sometimes use it. I think that way I'll spare myself some heartbreak. And now, like I always do, I'd like to show you some pictures, but these are some from our family vacation of september `08.
Elk, from Elktember of `08, a time when elk liked to hang out at that area, next to a highway.
As you can see here, our car ran right into a California Redwood. Thankfully, we manged to drive back out afterward, though it was rather a narrow fit.
That is a freakishly large squirrel, but I guess it matches the Redwoods around it.
More of Elktember. These two guys don't seem to be getting along that well, do they?
More Elktember. (MOVE PLEASE!)
That's just a few of the photos we took, but I'm done uploading, otherwise I'd be here quite a while. I'm going to thank you for reading this entry, and then I'm going to

Apr. 9, 2009 - We could use the sun here. Please donate your sunshine.
|
Dear Recipients,
I will not be visiting you very often this month, or the next, or the next.
I am on a business trip in florida, the phillipines, and virtually everywhere else, and will be shining in those places instead. Please accept my sincere apologies, and be ready for me when I come back, because I intend to blast you when I get back.
Sincerely,
The sun.
Do you believe it? This letter showed up in my mailbox! OK, so it didn't really. It's just that around here we have not been getting virtually any sun. This week we recieved about two days worth, and it's sunny right now, but the past few months we just have not been getting much sun. I know that seems natural in winter, but even so we hit spring a couple weeks ago and this is the first week showing much sun. But I don't want to complain. At least not too much. I'm just thankful I'm not in Australia. My dad, who works in a hotel and thus meets lots of tourists and travelers, met these people from Australia who said that where they lived, it hadn't rained in 13 years! That is stunning. I'm glad I don't live there. They are trying to get people living in that area to use only 125 gallons of water a day! I probably use half that just taking my shower and washing my hands! Oh, I'm glad I live in a rainy area. I just wouldn't mind an excuse to play in the water every night. I'll give you the Peanuts® strip of today now.

Details, Details! Oh how I struggle with details. If you don't mind, I'll put some photos up now.
Ever met anyone like this? ^
Insert fish here.
On mother's day, you could email this to your mom. Just make sure you make your own card too.
Well, I'm out of time so I'm going to close it up. If you read this please comment. Also, does anyone know where I can get a counter for my blog that tells me how many people have visited? If you do, please tell me. I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Mar. 21, 2009 - Be Sold Out for Jesus!!!
G-Day. How is it going? I'm happy, at least for the most part. Sometimes I let worry drag me down and that's something I really need to learn to let go of. How many of you went to the "Sold Out" conference at Foursquare? If you did, please leave a note and if you have an account, maybe your blog name. Those of you who didn't go to the conference, adults, for instance, really should send your child there. This was my first year, and it's pretty cool. The worship was great, the speakers were great, and my new T-shirt is great. How many readers love souvenirs. I know I do. They are so cool!!! Just having a little something that says, "I was here" is just so neat. I walked away from that conference with a T-Shirt, two CDs, and way less money than I had gone there with. But it was worth it. I don't have a camera, otherwise I might give you some photos. So, if you were there, let me know!!! Here's the latest Peanuts®:
Ever felt like this? ^ As if, no matter how hard you try, you can't do anything right. Been there, done that. Like my mom always says: There is nothing new under the sun. The devil wants you to think that you are an incapable human being who can't do anything for anyone, not even yourself. It's times like these when you should ask your parents and friends to pray for you, pray for yourself, and, if possible, volunteer in your community. Just remember the old VeggieTales™ saying "God made you special, and he loves you very much"™
Much as I hate to cut so short, I'm going to have to leave because I've run out of time. So remember those words. Until next................................................

Mar. 4, 2009 - BOY, the USA is cool!!!
I have two favorite days of the week. One is Sunday, (after all, who doesn't like sundays?) and the other is Monday. You may be asking, "How on earth is the start of work week your favorite day of the week??? You may even be thinking I'm a little odd But, Monday is my family day. We have all sorts of fun, usually. Last Monday we went for a car trip. The original plan was to go to a collection of outlet stores and look around. That turned out to be a bust. So we drove on, and ended up in Oregon!!! We even made it to Portland. I was so excited. We went to this really cool restaurant. "Cool" meaning you can find it anywhere. We ate at Wendy's®. Eventually we headed back home. Pretty cool. Today I have a dentist apointment. Whoop-de-doo. I'm going to have teeth pulled, unless I'm terribly mistaken. I might earn a couple dollars for it though, so that will be cool. Though, I'm not exactly looking forward to the numbing, yanking, pulling, (hopefully no screaming), wondering what on earth is going on. Time for Peanuts®.

You know, I have so many accessories on this blog of mass proportion it's a wonder that it dosen't explode across whoever reads it's desktop. If you read this please leave feedback. I love the stuff. have any of you ever tried this website? It's a fun Christian video website. If I've already recommended it please excuse me. Better than YouTube is the name. Hope you like it. Who has shopped on ebay? I love window shopping there. It's so much fun to look at stuff. You never know what precious heirloom you'll find. Or, as an alternative, a piece of junk. Whatever it is, it's always fun to look at. One of my most prized possessions came from ebay. I love writing on this thing, but I hate running out of things to say. You'd think someone who talks as much as I do would never run out of things to say, but I have been known to do it. Anyway I'm just about out of time so I'm goin to hit the "Save changes" button and whatcha-call

Feb. 25, 2009 - February is almost over.
Hi. How was your Valentine's day? Mine was fine. I got the day off, which was nice. February is almost over. I say that it's nice, because that means we'll be having spring soon, which will be nice. You know what I don't understand? I put stuff on this blog, and then it expires! I wonder why. Um, can I ask those of you reading a question? Do you think I've ocerdone it just a little with the accesories? I put a lot of stuff in here. Hey! Do any of those reading play the Nintendo Gamecube version of animal crossing? If so, here are some codes I think you might appreciate. P.S. If some of them don't work, I'm sorry. I got them off Yahoo!® But first a Peanuts strip®.
Here are the codes and hints:
Every day, one rock in your village will turn into a treasure rock. Walk up to a rock and
hit it with your shovel. If it turns red, quickly hit it again -- up to seven times if
you're fast enough. Each time, a money bag will come flying out.

Feb. 17, 2009 - Today I have to do this... and this... and this. (Gulp)
My mom must seriously trust me. Today she left me with my dad and sister to do my routine and school virtually by myself. But please, don't think she doesn't deserve it. That woman would put a ladybug's needs before her own. My dad had to tell her she could go, that's how caring she is, she actually asked my dad if it was okay. I hope she has a good day. I also hope I get everything done. Tonight I get some hang out time with my dad, unless I fail to get my schoolwork done in time. I'm not honestly worried, I should be able to get it all done in time, more likely than not. I will now put in a comic strip from Peanuts®.
I know it's not a Sunday strip, but I took the first Peanuts® strip that popped up on the website, and today is not Sunday (unfortuantely). I hate writing. Seriously, I do. But I love to type and I'm a good (I think, I know my mom says I am) storywriter. In fact here is one of my short stories (and a picture to go with it.
Jerusalem archaeology.
“I love my job.” Professor Tchekhanovets remarked. “I always wake up with the great feeling that something new will be discovered from thousands of years ago! It’s a great feeling. You know what I mean?” I nodded, smiling. This man, Tchekhanovets, was a true Israelite archaeologist; a man who knew the land almost as well as he knew his occupation. Oh, I’m sorry. I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Michael Doron Jockenstein, but you can call me Mike. I’m a Christian archaeological historian, meaning, I find really old stuff and then I estimate how old it is and where it came from in a Christian perspective. I had come to Jerusalem looking for something to put in the museum I worked for, the “History is Cool Museum” or HCM. I figured a new exhibit would bring people to the museum again; after all, museum attendance was at an all time low. So I had come to Jerusalem. On the plane, I had prayed to God for some success that would help bring the museum back to life. Then I had met Professor Tchekhanovets. It had started with a simple hello on his part. I had said hello in return, and then he had remarked about how I looked like Indiana Jones, except for the whip. I asked him about his occupation and from that question on we struck a deal to work on this together. I had found out he was a Christian too. That had sealed the deal. So here we were, outside the walls of old Jerusalem around the foot of Mount Sinai, looking for old stuff. Suddenly the professor shouted “I found it!” “Found what?” I asked, hurrying to the spot where he stood. “An old marble statue!” He replied. I fairly flew to where he was standing. “Really?” I asked, my eyes shining. “See for yourself!” He handed me the marble bust. “Wow! It looks like a man’s head!” I exclaimed. The two inch bust was exquisitely detailed. It was amazing. Only four days on the job, and we had already found something quite promising. I hadn’t expected God to say yes that fast. “Let’s go back to the inn and find out how old this is.” said professor Tchekhanovets. “Alright.” I agreed, and we walked back to the inn that we were staying at. I highly recommend the place, for such a dusty area it’s a surprisingly clean hotel. You’ll find it under the name “Away in a Manger”. Once we got to our room I got out my equipment. “Based on where we found it and the condition and shape it’s in, I’d say it’s about 1800 years old! It must have been on its way to ancient Jerusalem by merchant.” “Whew,” said Tchekhanovets, “That’s amazing!! What are you going to do with it?” “Well,” I replied, “I’ll take it back to the museum, and hopefully people will start attending more.” I looked at him, grinning. This was such a fortunate find, I hoped it would increase the amount of people coming to the museum. But I remembered my deal. “And of course, 10% of the money we make off the souvenirs, you will receive, and you will have your name under the credit for finding it.” Now he grinned. “Thank you very much.” He said, “I hope you have a safe trip home. Goodbye. God bless you.” And with that he left the room with his things. It was then that I realized that I owed it to God for finding this thing. So I prayed, “Father, I thank You so much for this great blessing. Finding this object is far beyond what I thought I would find. You are so great. I love You. In Jesus name, Amen.” I checked out of the room and headed back to the USA. My boss was there to welcome me. “Welcome home, Mike!” he said. “Did you find anything of importance?” “You bet I did. Let’s go to the museum and I’ll show you” I replied. When we got there, I showed him the 2 inch statue. “WOW!!!” He yelled so loud it made my ears ring. “Where’d you find that?” I recovered, and told him the whole story about Tchekhanovets, and Jerusalem, and the discovery. “We have to get more people there!” He exclaimed, “Contact your friend professor uh, T, and tell him you want to go on another expedition there!” I did as he said, and the next time we went there we came back with jewels, gold, a bronze frog, and a 2000 year old manuscript of the Old Testament!! We thanked God for them all. Naturally, Tchekhanovets got a good deal of the credit, and the museum was saved. We made so much money off the exhibits and souvenirs that we were able to open a Biblical exhibit and expand our premises 500 feet! It even ended up on Yahoo! news, which brought even more people to our museum. And all because I prayed ahead of time for some success. See how God blesses you when you ask for help?
The end.

What do you think? Sorry I'm still typing centered, my blog won't let me stop.
If you liked the story, please leave feedback. I got the story's base from a Yahoo!® news article. Pretty cool, huh? Well, I'm just about out of time so once again I'm going to say that famous phrase...

Feb. 15, 2009 - I've been a while. (Sorry)
Hello. I'm back. For those of you reading, you were probably wondering, "Where did this kid go?" Truth is, nowhere much. I just have been rather lazy and haven't touched this thing. But now I'm back!!! Sorry. I'm going to add a bunch of new features to it!! I hope you like them and all. I'm going to put a video of cats doing some decidedly unwise things, such as jumping onto a spinning fan and being launched across the room by it. Hope it makes you laugh out loud! I personally loved
it. Today I did nothing of much importance, bought a new iPod game and played video games. But two things that I did that were of importance were this, going to church, and talking with a friend of mine about God. My friend isn't Christian, sadly, and I'm trying to help him to know that Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. Here is another comic strip, if you like I'll start throwing them in more often. Just let me know. Like snoopy always says, don't overdo it.
Some of you may recongnize this painting. That's because I made it. I'm the same guy who made
some of those other blogs and said all that stuff about how I wanted this painting to be used. I've
gone through a lot of blogs due to thhe fact that I had a few problems and this and that happened,
and all that stuff. You can keep this painting, If you want to and can actually see any worth in it.
Personally, I think it's okay, even though i made a bunch of sequels.....
...it's till just a bunch of scribbbles I made when I was younger. Still, I like putting my art on the web. It's kinda fun Help yourself. I wonder what these look like as a wallpaper.
So... they always ask why the chicken crossed the road. I say, who cares? After all, it's just a chicken! I have a few in my template and entries! Shouldn't they be asking why the rinoceros crossed the road? Seriously.
And now I think it's time for an interesting fact:
Q: Why do I get dizzy when I spin around?
A: Because your ears have liquid in them. I know it sounds strange, but there is liquid in your ears that tells your brain what position you are in at all times. When you spin, so does it. When you stop, it doesn't (Well, at least not immediately). So, according to it, you are still spinning around, which makes you dizzy. Cool, huh?
Funny drawing, eh? Made it a couple of years ago too.
I'm going to close this entry with a Bible verse:
Luke 1:37
For nothing is impossible with God.

Nov. 30, 2008 - Let's talk about this... and this... and this...........
Happy Thanksgiving! Sorry it's belated. I hope those of you reading this had a good one. Mine was cool. I went to a friend's house and watched movies most of the time. We stayed pretty late, and I was the first one to pass out. Eeeesh. Eh, whatever. I had lots of food. I won't go into it, but the pumpkin pie was at my mercy, and I didn't spare it. I had 4 slices I know that's a lot, but I really liked it. By the way, you know how I put a Peanuts strip in one of my entries, but it went bad? Well, here's a brand new one! Hope you like it. I sure do. I would now like to put a bunch of pictures up here for the fun of it. Hope you like them too. Please feel free to share. I did not take these pictures myself. They came with my computer. Cool, huh? Anyway, who here is looking forward to Christmas? I am. The cool thing about it is Jesus' birth, which is why it's too bad that sometimes people just think: Gimme, Gimme, Gimme! It's just a bummer. But I've been guilty of it too. Read Luke chapters 1-2 for the true menaing of Christmas. Of course that's not the only place you can look. I'm just saying Luke cause I know where it is there. And now a different subject. Please click here for an 1828 Merriam Webster Christian Dictionary. You'll like how cool it is. Have a great week. And if you want to comment, feel free! I'd love it!

Nov. 23, 2008 - Cambell's tomato soup, (not my cup of tea).
Afternoon! I have another question, but it's not as serious as the last one. What's your favorite kind of soup? Mine, I have a few but the predominant one that I'm always talking about is clam chowder, preferably the restaurant kind, though I like canned too. One I'm not fond of is tomato soup, but I'm guessing you noticed that by the title. = Of course, it's been a while since I had the stuff, so maybe my taste buds changed their mind. I'm not gonna try it though. It's not like I just can't stand cambell's soup, I like the chjicken noodle kind. Of course, it seems a bit odd to write a blog entry about all kinds of soup, so here's a joke:
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson have gone camping as a result of a new lead on their case. They are sleeping in a 2-person tent. Suddenly Holmes wakes up and looks around. He nudges Watson. "Watson, he says, what do you see?" Watson wakes up and looks around. He says, I see billions and billions of stars." Sherlock impatiently replies, "Yes, but what does that prove?" "Well," says Watson, "theologically, in proves there is a great God who created this and evolution is inept and rediculous. Astronomically, it proves there are too many too ever count. Literally-" He is broken off by Holmes who says, "Watson, someone stole our tent! Funny, huh? My dad told it to me, but I changed a few things. Hope you liked it. And now something new. Here is a website you could try. www.bigideafun.com. There's alot of fun games there, and they are a Christian website.
Isn't this cute? This is a baby deer named Rupert. He's obviously pretty small. His mother was hit by a car. But he was found and brought in to some place I really don't know the name of, and they're nursing him back to health. Cute. Thes are some pctures that my mother saved of him. And now I'm going to put in a picture that you can use for whatever.

This thing is from my church, Lighthouse Christian Center. Come visit!

Nov. 16, 2008 - Oh, boy.
HI! I have a question for you. How many of you find it hard to do the right thing sometimes? That, I suppose, is obvious. I know I have a real time sometimes. For example, I was doing the unceremonial "cleanin' o' the kitchen" with my sister, Whirligirl. One thing you should know, she's great, but we do fight. What a shocker, right? Riiiiiiiiiiiight. Well, we did it again. I won't give all the details, but it wasn't fun. Our mom told us both to keep it quiet in order to stop fighting, and genius that I was, I blew her off and fought anyway. Stink. The result: an early bedtime and the (unfortuanate) how wrong everybody else is and I'm treated so unfairly". Yeesh. I wish I hadn't did what I did in agreeing with it for a while. I'm glad I repented. One of the crummy facts of life is that we mess up at an astounding rate. Hate, greed, and violence are just some of the stunts we pull. The cool fact is, in a summary, God still loved us. He told through his prophets of long ago that salvation would come. When He came it seemed unlikely that a baby was our savior. That He was to die for our sins seemed even more unlikely. But it was the truth, and now we can be saved through His grace. If you haven't accepted His free gift of grace I strongly encourage and urge you to pray and say "Dear God, I know I've sinned and fallen short of your glory. I haven't reached your standard of perfection. I'm a sinner. But I believe you sent your son as a baby, who would grow up and die for me and erase my sins by his blood. I confess mu faith in You. Please come into my heart Lord, In the name of Jesus, Amen." If you did this, that's great! You're saved! Now go get your self one of these and read it. -Sign Out!

P.S. don't you like this candy corn guy?
Q: How does a home schooler change a light bulb?
A: First, mom checks three books on electricity out of the library, then the kids make models of light bulbs, read a biography of Thomas Edison and do a skit based on his life. Next, everyone studies the history of lighting methods, wrapping up with dipping their own candles. Next, everyone takes a trip to the store where they compare types of light bulbs as well as prices and figure out how much change they'll get if they buy two bulbs for $1.99 and pay with a five dollar bill. On the way home, a discussion develops over the history of money and also Abraham Lincoln, as his picture is on the five dollar bill. Finally, after building a homemade ladder out of branches dragged from the woods, the light bulb is installed. And there is light. |

Nov. 9, 2008 - Hi! I'm sorry I haven't typed for a while.
I'm back!!! I know it's been a while, sorry. I'm in a good mood today. Hope you are too. You know, homeschooling's alot of fun, wouldn't you agree? I had an assignment to write a poem entitled, "Tame Your Tongue". I did so, and this is how it goes:
Tame Your Tongue! (That's the title, as I said.)
It sits inside the mouth
It cooks up evil plots
It thinks up compliments
My good man, Tame Your Tongue!
It's just a bit of muscle
But it has so much power
To kill or to heal,
My lady, Tame your Tongue!
It helps and it hurts
It gives all sorts of grief

Who reading this has heard of noah's ark? What a cool story, right? It seems sad at first, but when you think of the fact that noah spent 120? years building the ark for God, when everybody else was makiing fun of him took real faith, I figure. If you haven't read about him, you should. Grab a Bible and look for him in Genesis chapter 6. (see five for a genealogy that eventually leads up to him.) And just keep reading until you finish the story. It's awesome. Sign Out! |

Oct. 26, 2008 - Isn't life great?
Hello! I'm having a great day. My mom just got me this blog, for instance , and I have a variety of blessings. Starting with my sister, Whirligirl. You may end up reading her blog later. She's alot of fun, and I know she loves me. Then my Dad, he's a joking kind of guy with a big heart, but don't let him fool you. He's passionate when it comes to Christ and me or Whirligirl's questions about him, and he makes a definitive line between right and wrong. Only thing is that us both being guys, we're sometimes both roosters . But he's fun. And my Mom, one of the most well-known superheroes in the planet. She's a get-it-done kind of woman, but that's a good thing. She's a passionate Christian too, and she has a lot of the same insecurities I do in that respect. But she raises the bar, and no-one can lower it. I like that about her. And of course there's my heavenly Father, God Almighty, Lord of All, Etc.......We'll just stop there, or I'd be typing till the cows came home. I'm glad to be turning 13, and having great parents with me all the way, `cause I'm gonna need it. I also have great friends. I have a lot of things too. A new PC, a Nintendo Gamecube, a nice house, plenty of snacks , and all the necessities. When you think about it, there's not alot of people who can say that. I hope if you read this, you make a comment. (I love to talk, so I love feedback). Sign Out! P.S. Be sure to check out my games! They're good ones (and clean) and the site they come from, well I have not played all the games, but I know that at least most of them are okay).
