Nov. 3, 2006 - To mix play-doh or not to mix play-doh....
...that is the question!
Let me just say that we are SUPPOSED to be a NON play-doh mixing house but it's not working out too well. Especially when the younger ones are playing...alone.
I guess I must confess it's more of a mom thing than a child thing, this mixing business. It's just that once it's mixed, it only looks pretty for a little while. Then it becomes a big lump of gray-doh.
So, do you mix your play-doh??

Mixed play-dough is a no-no here. Do the kids obey that direct order? NEVER!! We, too, have gray-dough. Bummer, huh???
(Wouldn't this question have seemed terribly ridiculous only 15 short years ago?? HA HA HA! I sometimes think that. Like.... When the kids ask me to wipe their butts -- I would've never dreamed I would be asked that 15 years ago.)

So I made my own. All ONE Color!!! For color I only had on hand some red food cloring, so it's a very manly pink hue. The boys still like it. Email me or call if you want the recipe. I keep it in the fridge and it has lasted longer than anything I've bought at the store. By the way...'BOUT TIME YOU BLOGGED!!! (LOL) So glad to hear from you again.
