Apr. 7, 2008 - Our Monday
I started off the day by rearranging our living room and that spread into moving out some stuff from our computer room. Now our desk is in the living room and our computer room, once dining room, once bedroom is getting ready to become a bedroom once again (its original state). The kids spent the morning playing and pretending. They played house, school, store, ballet class, and other things I can't think of at this time. Ariella had geography this morning and while she was gone, the babies slept and Kaylah played a few computer games while I showered and did some laundry. Then we had a delightful tea party.
When Ariella came home, she and Kaylah decided to learn and put on a play, Fee-Fi-Fo. It's a two character play based on Jack the Beanstalk. They plan on practicing every day and will put on the play for us this weekend. After lunch, we played Battleship. The girls were so excited because Ariella happened to spot it on-line the other night when I was browsing on e-bay and I ordered it for them. Well, it came this afternoon in the mail and we had it in the house for not even a minute and the wrapper was off the package. Our game was cut short because we had to leave for CCD.
Hooray...Jason went and bought the wood I needed to build our garden and sandbox. I would have bought it myself a few weeks ago, but 10 foot pieces of wood just won't fit in my minivan! Hopefully the weather is nice on Wednesday so I can get out in the yard and start building. Tonight, we went for dinner and a tour of McDonald's with Brownies. The girls and parents seemed to have a really fun time. My girls were most impressed with the freezer. Boy, it was cold in there! Overall, our Monday was pretty calm and a good beginning to the week ahead.
