Apr. 26, 2009 - Loving this warm weather
It has been so nice here. Today, I even pulled out the plastic pool and let the kids fill it with water when we got back from church. The babies and Kaylah love being outdoors so it's been very long days. They eat their cereal out there, then spend the mornings riding their bikes and scooters in the driveway, eat lunch out there, play in the sandbox, on the swingset, track sand over the whole yard, dig in the dirt, ride the Barbie jeep, lay on a blanket in the grass, play in their playhouse, do sidewalk chalk, and have to be conjoled inside to wash up for dinner. We've been giving baths right before or after dinner then heading out for a family walk before it gets dark. Friday night was extra fun cause we barbecued out and ate our kabobs outside too,
I love this weather. Even the day it rained, I let the kids out to splash in the puddles because it was still warm despite the rain. It took me two days to rinse, soak, and wash their mud encrusted cklothes, but they had so much fun sliding and playoing in the mud, it was worth it to me.
Tomorrow, it's supposed to get up to 86 and be sunny, so we're heading to see Disney Earth in the am (our co-op got group tickets) then we are planning on bringing a picnic lunch to the state patrk nearby for a hike through the woods. We'll be packing plenty of water.
The only drawback of these beautofgul days is that I am way behind on my household chores because I want to enjoy the days outside. But again it's worth it, because I'd so much rather be sitting in the grass sketching pictures of the trees and discussing the life of a carpenter bee with Ariella and Kaylah and pretending to eat sand cakes!
