We did it! We made an offer on the motel, signed the contract, and brought it down to the title company today! In less than 30 days, we will be the new owners of the Montana Inn. No...it's no Hilton, but it's home to us. It's a road side motel, in a small town that has a library, a courthouse, about five restaurants, and a population of just under 2000. It's small town America. There a few other hotels in the town. We are the second to the cheapest. The hotel itself needs work, much of it cosmetic, but with some TLC we can get it so we can charge more than the current owner charges. We're excited about it, although we can't get over the fact that we're actually going to own a motel!

You sound like one of the few people I've seen who has more on their plate than I do! Between your move, your pregnancy, buying a hotel, hubby job hunting (is he still, even with the hotel in progress?) homeschooling, being a wife and mommy, oh my goodness! Makes me tired just thinking of it all! Good luck with the move and all that entails. I've reviewed several of your recent posts, and find that New Mexico's homeschool laws sound similart to MT's. I too could pick up and move pretty easily, always up for an adventure, but with the ease of homeschooling in NM, I would be hesitant to give this up now.
