Oct. 22, 2009 - finally have a date!
We finally have a date for closing...this coming Tuesday. Now...the fun begins (sarcasm!) I've been calling around and going around town getting utility hook-ups, insurance, bank accounts set up, a moving truck reserved, and all sorts of stuff that we need. Last night I couldn't sleep and I' finally just got out of bed a little after 4. I kept thinking about all that I have to do, and I know I'm gonna regret waking up this afternoon, when all of the kids are running around. I just researched LLP vs. LLC vs. sole-proprietorship. There's a lot to be learned about running a business. I originally registered as a SP, but now I've switched, and I'm hoping that I am making the right choice. I have all these applications I have to fill out from the state and I still have to get our business license in the town of the motel.
We do settlement Tuesday morning at 10:30, which means we have to get there by about 9, to be able to get to the insurance place to sign those papers and to the courthouse to get our business license, which I am assuming we need for settlement. I can't get my FIL's fax machine to work and so I can't receive the fax from the phone company. We'll have to handle that next week. As well as switching the cable to our name and the water/sewer/garbage, which require deposits and applications to be filled out in person. Crazy busy!
And then there's the whole floor layout running through my head. Where are we going to put the hurniture? I've been laying in bed just mentally going through our old house and picturing where we are going to put the stuff in our new "house." I just can't sleep that's all. So now it's almost 7 am and I'm gonna go get myself a shower and a cup of java. Go Phillies!
