Jun. 13, 2007 - The Heritage of the Servants of the Lord
I have been meditating on a passage of scripture lately. It is all in gratitude to someone who posted it as encouragement on the BPA Yahoo! Group. Every time I read it, it speaks to my heart and causes me to think about my heritage from the Lord. I need to be reminded that I have a heritage. Not made with earthly hands for that will be destroyed but with the hands and heart of my Heavenly Father that loves me and cares for me like no one else can. Not only does He love and care for me, but He loves and cares for my children more than I ever could. As part of my heritage, He promises that the peace of my children will be great! Only your creator, your father can know that the most precious thought someone can give a mother is a thought for her children. Isaiah 54:13, "All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children." Hallelujah!
The next time you fret over the education of your children, choosing the *right* curriculum, the right method, remind yourself of your heritage from your Heavenly Father. Your children will be taught of the Lord and they will have great peace!!! What more could we ask for?
11 “ O you afflicted one,
Tossed with tempest, and not comforted,
Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems,
And lay your foundations with sapphires.
12 I will make your pinnacles of rubies,
Your gates of crystal,
And all your walls of precious stones.
13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD,
And great shall be the peace of your children.
14 In righteousness you shall be established;
You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;
And from terror, for it shall not come near you.
15 Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me.
Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.
16 “ Behold, I have created the blacksmith
Who blows the coals in the fire,
Who brings forth an instrument for his work;
And I have created the spoiler to destroy.
17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the LORD.

Very well said. I am sure that your words will be an encouragemnt to others and also a reminder for those who get a little 'lost' on this path of homeschooling. Lori
