Did they teach you this in seminary?

It's a question that I ask my pastor every so often, when I hear him getting a REALLY weird question.

Of course, he does invite it.  He is very good with cars

and also pretty handy all around with technology.

At the same time, I've heard him get questions about everything ranging from how many people he guesses will come to a joint worship service to gardening advice!

And he takes it all in stride.

And, obviously, he is a great pastor.

Anyway, I've just been meaning to post about this for a while.

In other news about my life...

I have to have my wisdom teeth sawn out on July 21st.

(I guess I'm too smart... or something.)

And if the doctor/surgeon/ whatever, the person who does it, thinks that saying, "You'll look like a chipmunk for a day or two" is going to make me feel better, he needs to think again.

See, this is a chipmunk.

Not me.

Also, yesterday we went to an amusement park.  It was much fun as they have a great rollercoaster.

I saw a kid from youth group there too.  It was verily weird because he had burnt a CD for me, and then told me that he couldn't bring it this week, because he'd be away.

Then we run into each other!  (He's at camp for the week, so we asked him if we should deliver any messages to his mom.  His answer:  "Yes, I am in need of mental help."  Sometimes I'd have to agree there!!)

So... it was fun.

Come sword-dance

Heh

I like the way you put that-- "sawn out". Not very fun. But guess what? July 21st is Andrew's birthday! So while you are having a party with the dentist, we will be having a jolly nice birthday celebration. *grins*

Turkish Delight now??

are you quite certain someone staring a dental procedure in the face should be eating that sort of thing? what if it sticks your teeth together so the dentist couldn't saw them out? are you prepared to deal with *that*?

and Mahtaliel, would you be shocked to hear you remind me *just* a bit of Job's friends? But, save me some cake, OK?

Thanks, Mahtaliel, thanks.

*glares*

Yeah, I forgot that it was Andrew's birthday.

Oh well, I just wanted to have it over with as soon as possible, but not *while* I'm at camp.

CarpeBanana,

I know. I just like to tease my friends like that a lot. :P *evil grin*

The chipmunk thing is OK...

in fact, gerbils with cheeks full of cherry tomatoes are downright cute...

but...

try to avoid this... http://holdingoutforgrace.com/wp-content/wisdom%20teeth%20kelly%20park%20ulife%20006.jpg

PS just call me Bildad. ;)
