Just for Frodo...

Fròdó xiăn wŏ xiĕ yī xiàngmù yòng Hànyŭ.  *tànqì*  wŏ gāi guānyú xiĕ shénme?  wŏ tīng shōuyīnjī.  míngtiān zánmen shì qú dào péngyoumen jiàotáng ránhòu dào tāmen de fángzi.  zánmen zhēn xīngfèn!

Sorry, I can't type it in and turn it to symbols.  They don't work on this computer -- I don't have the software to do that, and it doesn't load as symbols.  Maybe someday!

Oh... does anyone want the translation?  Just in case you don't, I'll type it in white.  Highlight it to see the translation!

Frodo wants me to write an entry in Chinese.  *sigh*  What should I write about?  I'm listening to the radio.  Tomorrow we're going to friends' church and then to their house.  We're really excited!

Oops, it would help if I turned the black back on!

OK... in more serious news, Elizabeth/Connie could use prayer.  Her active web page is   http://www.xanga.com/roseforgod

but she also has a homeschoolblogger, http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/roseforgod

So... other than that... I got all my schoolwork done.  *grins*

Then my grandma came over for dinner, and then we watched Harvey.

Great quotes from Harvey...

Here, let me give you one of my cards. Now if you should want to call me, use this number. This other one is the old number.

Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.

Is, is that Mrs. Frank Cummings? Doesn't she look ghastly, I thought she was dead. I must get a closer look.

Wilson: Who's Harvey?
Miss Kelly: A white rabbit, six feet tall.
Wilson: Six feet?
Elwood P. Dowd: Six feet three and a half inches. Now let's stick to the facts.

Bartender: What can I do for you, Mr. Dowd?
Elwood P. Dowd: What did you have in mind?

You see, science has overcome time and space. Well, Harvey has overcome not only time and space, but any objections.

Miss Kelly, perhaps you'd like this flower. I seem to have misplaced my buttonhole.

Dr. Chumley: This sister of yours is at the bottom of a conspiracy against you. She's trying to persuade me to lock you up. Today, she had commitment papers drawn up. She has your power of attorney and the key to your safety box, and she brought you here!
Elwood P. Dowd: My sister did all that in one afternoon? That Veta certainly is a whirlwind, isn't she?

And then this part really bears a similarity to the gospel...

We've entered as strangers - soon we have friends. And they come over... and they sit with us... and they drink with us... and they talk to us. They tell about the big terrible things they've done and the big wonderful things they'll do. Their hopes, and their regrets, and their loves, and their hates. All very large, because nobody ever brings anything small into a bar. And then I introduce them to Harvey... and he's bigger and grander than anything they offer me.

That's what we should be doing -- not with a pooka, we have something better to offer -- but Jesus is "bigger and grander" than anything the world has to offer us.

Come sword-dance

Congratulations!

Thanks! That was very nice of you. I can't believe that you actually did that for me.

With you on the Quest,
Frodo
