Espanol...

Note to self.  It is extremely dangerous to tell someone to only talk to you in a language which you don't precisely, uh, speak.

Yes, in a flash of inspiration I told Antion to only talk to me in Spanish for a week.

That was a little... ambitious...

Although please understand that I'm mostly joking.  I'm having a great time (no paper cuts from so much dictionary use, yet!) and definitely picking up a few things.  He says not to thank him as it's helping him too.

At least I think that's what he said.  ^_^

Hmm... let's see... I must have something else to say...

Oh yeah!  I got a 510 at quizzing on Saturday, one question short of a perfect day.  So that was really a nice surprise, given the fact I did not feel ready AT ALL for that quiz.

The other day my Omnibus was talking about how some people think that all evil in the world is just... evil, and don't think of it as part of God's plan for working out His good will in everything.  One of the cultural examples which they listed was the artwork of Thomas Kinkade, which tries to portray only the "good".  Such a viewpoint forgets the principle which Gandalf said, "Even the very wise cannot see all ends."  So anyway, my assignment was to rewrite Ecclesiastes 3:1-10.  Here's the result!

For every good thing there is a season, and a time for every good matter under heaven:

A time to be born and a time to go to heaven

A time to plant and a time to harvest

... A time to heal

A time to rennovate, a time to build

A time to be solemn and a time to laugh

A time to remember and a time to dance

A time to throw away junk and a time to buy new things

A time to be spontaneous and a time to be formal

A time to seek and a time to let go

A time to keep and a time to release

A time to play rough and a time to be industrious

A time for love... a time for peace

Why should a man work hard?  I have seen what type of business Go dhas given to man.  He has made all good things beautiful in their time; still there are mysteries in His nature.

And finally I'll finish off with the lyrics from a song I really love... We Delight by Caedmon's Call.

CHORUS
We delight in the law of your Word
We delight in the Son who was perfect from birth
We delight in the day He's returning to earth
Hallelujah

We will bow our hearts because we are free
As we lift our hands to give you glory
Father of life and love and infinite worth
We're delivered by blood that flows from the tree
Draw near to You vessels of Your mercy
Before the invention of man, the glorious Trinity

REPEAT CHORUS

We will lift our eyes to the cloud and the flame
Lord, You guide our steps and restore us again
The nations of man will rejoice in the God of the wilderness

CHORUS

Sorry that I didn't get back to you(and Antion) about the Ramen noodles. If he is still interested (and if you can find the Spanish words for it,) tell him that he should move to Turkey and live here for eleven years. Then, if he still says Ramen noodles are ruinable, I will believe him. LOL. If you do get this across to him, tell me what he says (in Spanish- but you could include a translation as the only Spanish I know is "gracias" and I learned that through much trial and error and embarrasment- it's a long story.)

With you on the Quest,
Frodo

Ooh.

Fun. I don't have any languages that I even am remotely fluent in, so all languages are ones that I don't understand. :P

Those are cool lyrics. ^_^
