It was that kind of a week, pretty much... the sort where I wake up thinking on Monday (to quote Paul -- Not the apostle, a kid who comes to youth group sometimes) Aaaah I don't wanna. However, it also occured to me that my jobs for the week weren't likely to do themselves if I just stayed in bed. *sigh* So... I got up. And here are the scores for the week:
~8 page English paper on hubris and such... I think it's done, Mom'll have to proofread it, but hopefully it won't need much more.
~science paper. I think my experiments are done (such as they be) but I do need to write up the results so that I have... a paper. ^_^
~Omnibus finals. *cough* They're, um, waiting for next week.
~El Leon, la Bruja y el Ropero -- done. Yay! Actually I enjoyed it and I may read it again before too long without an English copy in hand to refer to.
~Spanish paper, which ended up being a comparison between Aslan and Jesus, is written. More on that in a minute.
~The speech on St. Augustine is done.
And oh happy week, we did not do a single calc lesson. We had to be at least 3/4 of the way through the book, but we (Mom and I) valiently did far more than that.
Many thanks for the almost completed school year are due to:
God, obviously, because I owe everything to Him.
My dear family who let me on the compy almost as much as I needed.
My dear Mother who suffered (okay, okay... and giggled...) through Calc with me. And listened to me rant about my Omnibus books. And so forth.
The people at Bible Study who patiently listened to me make a speech. Again. For the third year in a row. And did not go to sleep during it, even though I completely forgot how to pronounce Augustine's name. *blushes sheepishly* Next year I think I'll have to find someone named "Joe" to do a speech about.
Everyone who put up with my many complaints about school. Outside of my family, Mahtaliel comes to mind. ^_^
And Antion deserves some thanks (although he'll kill me if he sees this) because he has very helpfully agreed to look over my Spanish paper. Agreed, in this case, meaning that last night when I said "speaking of spanish I need you to check a paper I wrote" he didn't say "Are you crazy?"
The other things to be thanked are the compy, my calculator, the CD player, and the pencil sharpener. AND my little sibs who wore down all the pencils for me so that I'd have nice short ones to write with.
Goodnight!
