Ooo, Aaaah, Ohhhh!

I finally got back to the island on Thursday afternoon. The kids and my mother-in-law got in late on Friday night. Really late. Really, really late! So Hubby went to the airport to pick them up, and since I was on a four hour time zone difference, I fell asleep on the couch until they got home! 
We were invited to an Independence Day get-together with the other co-op families yesterday. They had some pools set up for the kids. Of course, our little fish (aka Miss Twinkle Toes) immediately got soaked!
After dark came the fun stuff. Sparklers....
Miss Twinkle Toes gets in my lap and says one of her friends poured water on her. I asked her why would they do that? "I don't know" Well today I found out that she had been putting ice cubes down people's shirts, so big surprise someone got her with water!

Here is BearLover watching the fireworks. One of the other dads was lighting rows of fireworks with a blow torch. Apparently we have some pyromaniacs in our homeschooling group!
The strobe light fireworks! Definitely not my favorites. They lit almost a dozen of these at once. It must have been visible from outer space!
And Hubby, in the strobe glare, a little blurry because of the strobe effect.
