Trying to keep three kids on task with homeschooling, doing the laundry, housework, my school online, is a very hard thing to do.
I am homeschooling three kids, ages 6, 10, and 13. The two younger ones are easy at this point, we take a view on homeschooling of doing a little, but not over doing it and not making "school" be at home. The 6 year old takes about 15 to 20 min....to just practice the basics, writing, phonics, and math. My 10 year old has a list he follows to keep him on task and know what he must accomplish each day to finish his school work for the day. I do work with him on sciece and history, we use a unit study form for these subjects.
Now My 13 year old is a little different task, she is mostly independently learning, but gathering all the stuff for her and making up her list is tough, I am trying to get her and myself prepared for homeshooling her through high school. Now she can do most of it by herself, but I do need to help some. Also I have to make sure she is doing it correctly and go over any mistakes she has.
I am also attending school online to earn my Masters Degree in Technology with teaching and learning. I finished my BA in May and figured I had a better chance in getting a job to pay off my loans if I had a masters degree. Especially since I don't want to work outside the home so I can continue to homeschool my children.
Needless to say I am very busy and I finding Masters degree work is more time consuming than Bachelors. But with God's grace, lots of patience, and prayer I should be able to accomplish this task.
