Good Morning! I have had some very nice "welcome" messages from some very sweet ladies .................... THANK YOU!!!!! :-) In fact, the first gal to welcome me shares the same exact birthday as me! LOL! Year and all! We have many similar interests too. How funny is that? Today is an off day from pre-k as it is is church night so we will be working on his AWANAS verse for tonights meeting for him. :-) I have also been "cleaning/clearing out his room. We are going to switch him and his sister around in there so that she doesnt have to go past his bed after he is asleep. (they currently share a room until my dh gets the wall up between them. :-) I have lunch in the oven and will be laying the little guy down for his nap....yes he still takes atleast a 2 hour nap! (thank you Jesus). |

Good Evening! I just opened my Blog here, and I am delighted to be amongst other Homeschoolers. My dh and I made to the decision to homeschool our son. The Lord was more then clear that this was "His" direction for us!! :-) We had originally had our son enrolled in preschool for this Fall when a series of majorrrrrrrrrr fiascos happened with the Pre-school he was suppose to attend. Our son is 4.5yrs old, so we are beginning this journey at the preschool level, with "pre-k" materials. Our son is also in AWANAS at church so we will also be using his AWANAS handbook as a Bible devotional tool for him. :-) I attended my very first support group mtg. last Thursday. It is a Christian moms support group for HS moms in the area. There was over 25 ladies there and I really enjoyed myself! I knew that it was where I should be! The gal leading the meeting was avery delightful gal and her "talk" moved me and spoke directly to my heart! :-) Now the uphill battle of "defending" our choice to friends and family begins. It's ok though, as I know we are doing as the Lord wants...........that is all that matters. :-) |
