I'm amazed when I look at my oldest 'baby'. I see a kid! You know what I mean.... He's my baby. I carried him inside me, I patted my stomach & felt him kick. I spent days in the hospital with him, when he was 3 months old (he got RsV). I rushed him to the ER at 1 1/2 when he stuffed a piece of neo green crayon up his nose. His first time crawling, his first steps, holding him at night. His 1st birthday party, buying his 1st pair of tennis shoes.... It all kind of ebbs & flows together in my mind. His 6th birthday was on March 1st..... yes I know that 6 is still young, I have plenty of time. Whatever. These past 6 years have gone by in a blink of the eye. Who's to say the next 6 wont go just as fast? Who's to say I wont blink and he'll be playing high school football, going to Prom, getting married, having a baby (or his wife will... =)...). I guess I'm just really thankful right now that God has blessed me with this little boy, who pretty soon wont be so little anymore. Already, he gets silly & shy when I kiss him in font of his friends... I've even gotten the famous 'mooooooooom'. =) So adorable. I'm thankful also for homeschooling. I can't imagine missing these next few years. All the amazing things that he's doing everyday. (I'll blog about some more tomorrow) I wouldn't have watched his eyes light up when he GOT IT. I wouldn't even know what he's learning if he were at PS. I'm so grateful that we get to teach him ourselves. That I get to enjoy these years. Anyway, my precious lil miracle is one year older and lovin' it. He loves being 6. He says that he's almost 10 now. lol Yeah, because 'it's only 4 years away'. ROFL. See?! Even he knows that time will fly! lol I got to get some sleep now..... hopefully.... I just wanted to share about my baby! =) |
