2008 Election is getting heated!

wow, guys I swear I was NOT going to post anything about the election.... But seriously I don't think enough Christians are paying attention to the undertones. The 'below the surface' stuff that is creeping me out! Tell me what you think of this website: http://www.onenewsnow.com/Election2008/Default.aspx?id=182390 I personally think that McCain is the only one left that I can vote for in good concience... The problem is that I will be held accountable to whom ever I end up voting for, so to say that I need to make an informed decision is an understatement! I simply HAVE to pick the right one, and make my Savior proud! Unfortunitly, I am only one vote! And I know too many people who are voting for the wrong reasons! seriously! !!! Here is word for word what my friend said. "What? Your not voting for the lady? You have too, she's a girl!" Um, and do her values match yours? Is she backing the same things you are? What would Jesus do? (ok, sorry I just had to throw that in there for comedy relief!) Anyway, that ignorance (sorry!) is the same as people voting for Obama just because he's black... or for that matter simply voting for McCain just because he's an old white guy! lol Come on guys... decide what we want and lets start voting people in (at all levels, but especially for president) that will further your cause! I think that is exactly what the 'gay pride' people are doing... (I forget what the org is called, sorry). And that is why their cause has been advanced as far as it has. Ooop, ok coming down off my soap-box now... Just please please please do research before voting!! Thanks, Mommy in the fun house! |
