God gives the desires of our hearts.

"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart!!" Psalms 37:4 Hey all! I just wanted to tell you all a little story about WHY this is my favorite verse of all time.
 Once upon a time, in a land far far away ......... Ok, back in July of '08 I was really getting into Fly lady and the Control Journal. Well, part of it is to write out a Wish List. Which I did, and then I placed it into my Control Journal and promptly forgot about it.  Typical ME! So, anyway, I stumbled across it today in an attempt to organize my Control Journal and make it more useful. (More on that later!) Well, imagine my surprise as I read through it and realize that a LOT of those things need to be crossed off!!! Let me count the ways: *white board for my school room. *bread machine *play equipment for the backyard *grill for Hubby *big screen (also for Hubby.  )*My baby's toddler bed. (and a race car bed, to boot!) *Shoes for the kids that fit. (yes, that was on there, and now they all have shoes that fit. It totally counts!) *Homemade Gourmae stuff. (I got some for Christmas!) *and Eternity Perfume (wish I also got for Christmas!) Guys!! And this is with Hubby having been out of work for about 6 months now. AND the unemployment is $20 short of JUST the rent!!! AND we had NO savings account or emergency fund! (yes, we DID learn our lesson, thank you very much...) Anyway, this is plain and simply GOD! God has been providing in miraculous ways all this time. And just now it hits me.  Yes, I am a tad bit slow, glad you noticed. Anyway, thank YOU my dear Daddy in Heaven. Thank You for providing for me and my family in ways more numerous to count. And thank YOU for going above and beyond what I never even prayed for. You are amazing and your mercies endure forever. I love you! In Your mighty name: Jesus I pray! |
